What next for Prince Harry & Meghan ?

I hope after the trauma & troubles of Harry that this is a new chapter and renaissance for him.

I can see Meghan and Harry hosting an annual ‘Met - style’ Gala/high brow event in Diana’s honour with a listers, red carpets and music performances. Donating the proceeds of the televised coverage to mental health research at a big Ivy League university or some other big cause & using the event and celebrity power to end the stigma

I can see Harry abs Meghan doing what they’ve done with Invictus - something really substantial that makes a huge difference.

I don’t truly know what exactly the Royal do and I read royal news - I know Kate does early years etc but not what they’re doing beyond promoting and visiting places.

I can see a Meghan & Harry really doing something global and substantial and hitting the ground running.

I see the royals getting stale with the new streamlined Royal not getting headlines. It’ll be tricky with no lesser royals to generate scandals and glamour, weddings and babies and leave the main players to look aloof, above being Human and immortal.

what do you predict for the next chapter of royals and Harry Meghan ?

A Goop-type 'this smells like my penis' candle? I dunno.
Flying blind here.
Who knows? Who really cares what's next for any of them?

In the most recent interview shared with Prince Harry he said he favourite smell is 'my wife', so I predict one called 'This candle smells like my wife' Grin

purpledalmation · 03/03/2023 17:20

@vera99 No I don't think he would turn to hard drugs, although cocaine use is common in wealthy Hollywood communities apparently. I hope not, no one wants yet more tragedy for either family. He's not happy though despite his years of therapy. He's just stuck on the hamster wheel of therapy and oversharing.

Plitvice · 03/03/2023 18:04

Goop closed it's London store recently so I don't think it is for us. As for LA, there is enough of that overpriced crap available even if you want a different version for every day of the year. Paltrow also had an established profile in LA as an A list actress.

BasiliskStare · 03/03/2023 21:07

They have enough money to lead a lovely life. I think what they have overestimated what the the titles give them outside their innate talents. I do think that the media deals + Harry's inheritances from his mother ( & I believe the QM & no doubt from her late HM the Queen ) they will be very well off.

I think Harry well , both , needs to stop whinging for money & if they want to be philanthropic they should keep a great deal quieter and just concentrate on that.

I do wish them well though , & I hope they are genuinely happy together and it will be a long and happy marriage. I would wish anyone that.

ThighMistress · 04/03/2023 09:18

The problem is our notion of well off is not theirs. Private jets, 24-hour security wherever they go, couture, fully-staffed mansions, polo ponies….

Dishing dirt and whining is atm the only sure-fire mode they have of generating large sums.

So true. The Hollywood A lister lifestyle is a lot more expensive than a few millions in inheritances, hence they had to dish the dirt of their families.

Also flying blind, Harry shaped dildo - called a 'Right Royal Todger' made from recyclable eco-plastic and part of a Tantric range of love accessories.

I do not understand how people can be so nasty.
I guarantee if someone said the exact same nasty things about Kate or William, they would be hounded all over MN on multiple threads.

What about all the comments about William's purported but completely unsubstantiated sexual proclivities? Is that not nasty?

AmandaJonah · 05/03/2023 19:43

I think if people were saying papers abroad were reporting that Harry had an affair that would be fine.
The comments here have an extremely nasty edge. Some people are obviously enjoying writing very nasty comments. Their glee spills out from the screen.

'The comments here have an extremely nasty edge. Some people are obviously enjoying writing very nasty comments. Their glee spills out from the screen.'

Exactly - comments about William have been horrible.

AmandaJonah · 05/03/2023 19:55

@Coxspurplepippin So you have no issue with the very nasty comments just above you on this thread about Harry?

Coxspurplepippin · 05/03/2023 20:12

I don't think anyone should be making nasty comments about anyone. The difference is, of course, Harry put himself out there, of course people are going to comment - especially if he writes about his genitalia ( how that got past his editor I have no idea).

The nasty comments made about William are based on nothing more than spite and nastiness. I take it you're not OK with that.

AmandaJonah · 05/03/2023 20:30

Commenting on what someone has said is very different from the obvious nastiness.

Unfortunately I think the next stage may be Hello type glossy magazine photo shoots of the family. Then progressing to a reality show. To keep funding their lifestyle, they are going to have to do a trade off . Privacy and dignity (or what remains of it) will be sacrificed for money and keeping themselves in the papers.
Their children will be like the Beckham kids. Probably talentless , but rich entitled and photographed constantly.

I really hope that they don’t slither down this slippery tawdry slope.

If they have forecast that they can’t afford the ultra A list lifestyle without selling their dignity I hope they downsize to a ranch somewhere quiet where they can raise their children privately.

Sugarfree23 · 08/03/2023 07:51

He's too protective of his kids privacy to do that.
They've also lost a lot of support and already spilled all the beans so what's new for them to say in a magazine and who'd buy it?

Any communication around H&M and their children would have huge selling power - as people are fascinated by them - the publication doesn’t care if the root of the fascination is positive or negative it still shifts unit / generates clicks.

The fact that they have upheld / controlled privacy of their children makes a family Hello spread even more alluring to the public and lucrative to H&M / publication.

It’s many’s guilty pleasure to drool over the ‘perfect lifestyle’ pictures of the wealthy.

Yes that’s how I see it.

purpledalmation · 08/03/2023 10:00

Well Harry is now looking likely to be merching the Invictus Games by pairing with a Los Angeles company selling an app that charges ex servicemen/women for a holistic lifestyle coaching.

Wheresthebeach · 08/03/2023 10:12

I think there is a real risk of Harry promoting retreats, dodgy drug use as a road to enlightenment, and other fringe health and trauma stuff under the 'if I can recover, so can you'.

MM will continue trying to be taken seriously in the political arena.

Doihavetowait · 08/03/2023 10:17

What evidence is there that MM wants to go into politics? Can just anyone do that in the US regardless of experience , training or a degree? I find that astounding.

Howsimplywonderful · 08/03/2023 10:22

@Doihavetowait

Look at Trump !

Depends if you believe he has recovered?

I'm no fan but she's got quite a good university degree actually. And looking around there are a lot dumber people in politics than MM...it's not like there's any requirement anywhere for running for office apart from money.
