What next for Prince Harry & Meghan ?

I hope after the trauma & troubles of Harry that this is a new chapter and renaissance for him.

I can see Meghan and Harry hosting an annual ‘Met - style’ Gala/high brow event in Diana’s honour with a listers, red carpets and music performances. Donating the proceeds of the televised coverage to mental health research at a big Ivy League university or some other big cause & using the event and celebrity power to end the stigma

I can see Harry abs Meghan doing what they’ve done with Invictus - something really substantial that makes a huge difference.

I don’t truly know what exactly the Royal do and I read royal news - I know Kate does early years etc but not what they’re doing beyond promoting and visiting places.

I can see a Meghan & Harry really doing something global and substantial and hitting the ground running.

I see the royals getting stale with the new streamlined Royal not getting headlines. It’ll be tricky with no lesser royals to generate scandals and glamour, weddings and babies and leave the main players to look aloof, above being Human and immortal.

what do you predict for the next chapter of royals and Harry Meghan ?

No idea and No idea what their "brand" is but it certainly doesn't feel like they have a positive platform to go off and be the positive change in the world they indicated they wanted to be.

Whatever happens I hope the kids will be ok and that there is someone level headed keeping their routines going . The whole shitshow is shocking .

The reason? IMHO the likes of Mr a Mrs Clooney Mr & Mrs Obama Sir Elton John et al probably wouldn't want to be seen to be disrespecting the RF, whom, whether like it or not, have far more global gravitas than H&M 😉

Probably because who wants to be in the next memoir accused of who knows what and having dirty secrets exposed to the world?

A Listers have distanced themselves. People who have been named in the book will tell their own truths contradicting Harry (with the exception being the royals) For the sake of the kids they should back off and actually live a private life but doubt it will happen. Harry loves to tell his truth but I think he will get a shock when he realises that others can also tell their truth.

S'funny that part of the monarchist argument in the UK for maintaining the monarchy is the 'God knows who we'd get if it was put to a vote' and the republican argument is 'but not every country has a president like Boris Johnson', and the US (who've had Trump) could end up with a Markle presidency. That would make maintaining the monarchy a cinch, surely?

Actually, I think their behaviour over the last 12 - 18 months has probably put her out of the running - she'd need a lot thicker skin than the one she appears to have, and the fact that her spouse does drugs and has a ropey relationship with facts won't stand her in very good stead.

It's not dark, it's mostly just people speaking realistically about what is likely to happen next.

Dicorce is a very realistic possibility. Pretending otherwise is just burying your head in the sand.

Two options

A, they go and lie quietly for a while. Live of the money they've made.
Unlikely as Meghan wants to be in the spotlight.

B, they start to turn on each other have a really nasty divorce, that makes Di & Charles look like a walk in the park. She fills her book with more stories about his togger. He ends up with a mental breakdown and ends up in rehab back in the UK.

I think they have burnt their bridges with ‘the elite’ who value discretion and even charities will be very wary now especially with the drug taking. celebrities who similarly make a living from selling minutiae about their lives might still flock around as they might get some value from it but that would only be a temporary thing. H+M aren’t interesting enough long term without their links to the RF. I agree Meghan might make a comeback as a lifestyle influencer type.

I don’t think there will be any appetite for them going forward. There isn’t nearly as much interest in the US as here and they have nothing left of interest to say. They will gradually have less invites to anything and unless they really pull it out the bag with a more humanitarian project I think they will fade into obscurity. That’s possibly when cracks will show as I think Meghan wants to be v high profile.
That’s why I think the RF is wise to keep quiet - this will all blow over and not many people believe him because of all the lies that have been exposed about what they all say. The ‘unconscious bias’ stuff has also got a lot of people irritated and questioning his understanding of race issues. He’s shown himself to be a bully in his book which rather makes a mockery of Archwells mission for compassion .

Archewell will fold. It barely donated anything to charity compared to what their income stream was. Most went to lawyers..

It’s hard to know what issue they will stand for going forward as Harry has more or less shown himself to be hypocritical about a number of issues.

I think they have plenty of mileage left: look at the sheer interest and volumes of coverage they provoke. They have high google factor which translates to viewing/listening figures which translates to money: there’s a reason Oprah wanted the interview and the Kennedy Foundation wanted to give them a made-up award and The Cut wanted Meghan on the cover. They don’t have to be liked or befriended by the Clooneys to succeed.

I reckon after this media onslaught with the book, which will be contractual – no one is signing a memoir for a £20m advance without locking down that he will promote it widely – they’ll go quiet for a bit and figure out next steps. More Netflix shows (not necessarily about them) and Spotify podcasts obviously, as per the deal. Further crap children’s books and Harry’s next instalment of the memoir.

Meghan is obviously a fashion hound so a clothing line or consultancy or “editor at large” for a magazine? A beauty brand? TV production: their own version of The Crown or similar? Resurrecting The Tig?

I think it will be some legal battles. Tom Bower is apparently writing a revised version of his book discussing Doria and why she wasn't around for 10 years of Meghan's childhood.

Nothing about why this happened can now be read about online which implies there is some injunction in place so I imagine it's going to be an explosive legal situation.

Thing is op, you’ve totally misread rhe situation. Charles, camilla, William Kate rhey get headlines whenever they wish. They just need to do something celeb like a premier or non celeb like a walk to church and they are all over the headlines.

harry and Meghan are being seen as such contentious people now folks don’t wish to be involved or near them, Christ even rhe New Zealand prime minister put out a statement saying she’d done the leaders program on Netflix when rhey weren’t involved, 2 years previously and tried ro distance herself. Oprah reacted coldly when asked for comment on the Netflix series and said it was a family matter and she didn’t comment on family matters, Michelle Obama basically said the same and that she hoped harry and Meghan could find a way to resolve this behind closed doors, George clooney said yeah there was a dinner but nothing now, they are not friends.

netlfix have leaked they are impossible to work with, with top staff resigning, they had to refilm lots of the docuseries as it directly contradicted the book, they had checked.

on the Spotify podcasts listeners are dropping and Meghan spends more time talking about herself than interviewing.

they are literally two of the most contentious people globally right now. Even trump prob has higher ratings . They did it to themselves.

all they can do is go to ground and then try to rehabilitate their image, stop whinging about petty slights like lip gloss or bridesmaids dresses, get their stories straight so they stop contradicting themselves and clearly making shit up, do some actual charity work and not pay lip service/pretend, stop selling images of their kids.

rhey even accepted an award for fighting racism in the royal family after the Oprah interview , and are now saying they aren’t racist. Have accused Charles of things that are clearly not true, like leaking where they lived in Canada. Lying and saying they were left without security. When the Canadians were protecting them and Charles was paying for private on top.

Now harry is saying well it might not be factually true but it’s what he believes. it’s just all so distasteful and contentious.

Ooh, I would 100% watch a cheesy Christmas-royal Netflix film starring Harry and Meghan not quite as themselves, but fictionalised versions of themselves – like Keanu Reeves in Always Be My Maybe. Shame the title A Christmas Prince is already taken. Perhaps Love Is In the Spare or From Spare to Eternity.

I agree but just how will they fund their extravagant lifestyle? I can’t see KC forking out much more, certainly William won’t after all the hideous things that Harry has spitefully divulged for cash.

Harry will continue to think it was all everyone else’s fault, especially the media, and he will find sycophantic Californian therapists who agree with him in exchange for large bills.
