What next for Prince Harry & Meghan ?

I hope after the trauma & troubles of Harry that this is a new chapter and renaissance for him.

I can see Meghan and Harry hosting an annual ‘Met - style’ Gala/high brow event in Diana’s honour with a listers, red carpets and music performances. Donating the proceeds of the televised coverage to mental health research at a big Ivy League university or some other big cause & using the event and celebrity power to end the stigma

I can see Harry abs Meghan doing what they’ve done with Invictus - something really substantial that makes a huge difference.

I don’t truly know what exactly the Royal do and I read royal news - I know Kate does early years etc but not what they’re doing beyond promoting and visiting places.

I can see a Meghan & Harry really doing something global and substantial and hitting the ground running.

I see the royals getting stale with the new streamlined Royal not getting headlines. It’ll be tricky with no lesser royals to generate scandals and glamour, weddings and babies and leave the main players to look aloof, above being Human and immortal.

what do you predict for the next chapter of royals and Harry Meghan ?

How can she go into politics with a royal title? That flies in the face of what the USA was founded on. No-one in America wants to have UK royalty in power there. That's why they have all those guns!

What next? For H, slow, dawning realisation that when William becomes King - and he will, because the UK is a while away from being a republic unfortunately - he’s fooked.

M will wake up one day and realise how exhausting it all is living in another person’s soup of jealousy and bow out to form her own household.

And Dancing on Ice.

Nah I'm a celebrity definitely!

Florissant · 12/01/2023 13:12

Fantasy: full and total anonymity.

Reality: More interviews, more toxicity, more whinging, more making make from their connection to the RF while complaining how horrible it is.

shockthemonkey · 12/01/2023 13:13

"Sometimes, as they say, the silent part is still part of the song"

... oh Meghan, please be the silent part.

Spck · 12/01/2023 13:21

I’m really surprised when people see her in a political position. I wouldn’t see her as being any good in robust debate but more perhaps for speaking up for good causes where she won’t be opposed.

stillavid · 12/01/2023 13:24

I think Meghan will do very well. Harry, well who knows.

Does anyone else wonder what will happen to his friendship with Eugenie now - I imagine she is under some pressure to pick a side or there will be concerns from the RF that she will repeat stuff to Harry and we all know how that will go.

It is all very sad really and I suspect Harry will regret this book in the future but equally how else could he make enough money to fund his lifestyle?

MeinKraft · 12/01/2023 13:26

Is Meghan not supposed to be an actress? Can't she do some acting to make money instead of Harry having to sell the family secrets?

Spck · 12/01/2023 13:28

Neither of them will want to work again where they have to answer to someone else or prove their worth.

Kateforqueen · 12/01/2023 13:29

@trucklebrunch I agree, I think Meghan will stick around for the book deals & then she's gone... Lots more in the pipeline for her as she now has material for how awful being married to the spare was..
Her silence at the moment is telling. She'll distance herself from Harold, she's probably gauging the mood & reaction. She wants to be credible. Staying with him will do nothing for her image or credibility. They are outcasts in Hollywood.

BethDuttonsTwin · 12/01/2023 13:36

I put them in the same bracket as the likes of Kerry Katona, Katie Price and Joey Essex - well Joey is actually very funny and sharp witted when you listen to him and he’s not putting his persona on, so maybe not him. The only differences are more money and older houses.

Reality show ✔️
My Life And All It’s Ups And Downs! book, delivered by ghost writer ✔️
Constantly in the gutter press (releasing stories themselves to perpetuate) ✔️
Small dramas magnified and exaggerated for profit ✔️
No dignity ✔️
Public fall outs with friends and family ✔️

So I see a similar trajectory as the above mentioned. Who is going to take them seriously now? No one of any real weight that’s for sure.

I think this too. The book was the big one. What happens with it will determine Meghan’s next move.

strawbfield · 12/01/2023 13:42

Meghan as president?

She ran from the UK in tears when the press wrote nasty things about her

She collapsed in the pilots arms or some dramatic bollocks

Kateforqueen · 12/01/2023 13:43

@BethDuttonsTwin totally. The Z list for sure. The real A listers are notoriously private & neurotic about who they associate with both for their image (show me your company & l'll tell you who you are!!) & to protect their privacy.

The Sussex pair are worse than any tabloid reporter

bakalava · 12/01/2023 14:00

She already has experience in leaving a marriage with a great divorce settlement. There may be one or two more of those on her way up.

Princessglittery · 12/01/2023 14:01

@MrsPeachBottom

I agree The Invictus Games is a good initiative but remember how much good the following have and are still achieving:

  • Duke of Edinburgh Scheme
  • Princes Trust
  • The Royal Foundations
MarshmelloMist · 12/01/2023 14:01

Best case scenario, they'll retreat from public life to focus on their kids, don't attend the coronation and leave Harry's family in peace.

I think Harry will have a huge come-down experience after the final big interview. All that excitement, purpose and buzz over and his world as he knew it blown to pieces.

With this book and the NF programme they have run amok, I see it as an actor of self-harm for Harry. I don't think this has helped him heal but will traumatise him further, once he realises what he has done and that his family will never trust him again. I don't think he cares about his family in the UK at all, he is too bitter and unforgiving. It will be a huge challenge for him not to downwards spiral with drugs and depression. I also guess that while a-listers won't be interested in them as they are of no use without easy access to the important royals, there will be a stream of opportunists looking to take advantage of Harry, he should beware, he doesn't look streetwise.

I could see her leaving him but not yet, she will want to see how the royal title situation pans out for her dc, maybe have one more child?

The royal family needs to learn from this to protect the next generation of young royals. Slimmer, more contemporary monarchy, they should all learn trades and jobs and become well rounded individuals as well as royals, I think they will. I'm afraid William and Kate will need to protect their children from Harry and Meghan, Meghan seems to hate the Waleses in particular.

bakalava · 12/01/2023 14:03

If she gets anywhere significant in US politics then I pledge to surrender my dual citizenship

BethDuttonsTwin · 12/01/2023 14:04

Kate is the one she hates.

Meghan to run for president. She wouldn't divorce Harry solely for that reason as America would not accept a divorced woman as president. Its hard enough trying to run as a woman for president, let alone as a divorced woman.

Meghan is already a divorced woman.

Harry is her second husband.

iwonder if anyone is lining up hubby number 1 for a tell-all expose? Entitled “dumped” and subtitled “one day her Prince will come”

best bet is for them to do a reality show, Keeping Up With The Sussexes, with Meg starting as the in-charge Kris and Harry as the hapless husband under her thumb, his glory days firmly in the past.

Kateforqueen · 12/01/2023 14:10

@MarshmelloMist he's not at all streetwise. He had the rf cover up all his misdemeanours & the ones that were leaked were twisted to make him look like a loveable rogue... He's on his own now in the big bad world with only his "truths"

notanotheroneagain · 12/01/2023 14:30

Answer to your question OP.

The palace and it's attack dogs (media/rr's etc.) will realise that their efforts have gone down in flames. They will leave them be (I hope). Everyone would have realised that the 'never complain, never explain' is absolute bollocks'. And that H will answer back at any time.
They will then go about their boring selves as ever, an no one will give shite.

Meantime, H&M will have nothing to answer on.

Therefore they will go about with their Netflix 'live to lead' or whatever. MM will do more of her podcasts. Both maybe including their charities work etc.. Most likely H will go on about his Invicticus/Sentebale/ etc. - actively raising funds via polo etc. He will also carry on with his BetterUp and whatever Silicon Valley work. They will go on with their ethical investments company. Archewell will go on with all their charities.

And yes, they will appear in magazines like People/OK/ whoever, but most likely it will be about the charities.

I hope the RF doesn't double down/ lean in. And they realise that H has had enough and may go scotched earth if he has to.

Best scenario is that they get a really decent financial advisor and put a large portion of the money from the book sale into some sound investments. Scale down their lifestyle and live off their investment income quietly for the next couple of years whilst encouraging Harry to get some proper help. Slowly come back into the media glare by taking on small modest projects where they don’t talk about themselves at all and gradually rebuild their brand outside of the RF.

Sadly though, instead I suspect we will see a full mental breakdown from Harry and the Real Housewives of Montecito for Meghan.

Coxspurplepippin · 12/01/2023 14:46

'He will also carry on with his BetterUp and whatever Silicon Valley work.'

Really? I can't imagine a worse advert for a wellbeing and personal devt. charity than Harry.

A lot of magical wishful thinking on this thread. I predict I will punch the loathsome Dan Wooton whilst he prostrates himself on the altar of faux outrage.Never hated someone so much not even Ponce Andrew.
