What next for Prince Harry & Meghan ?

I hope after the trauma & troubles of Harry that this is a new chapter and renaissance for him.

I can see Meghan and Harry hosting an annual ‘Met - style’ Gala/high brow event in Diana’s honour with a listers, red carpets and music performances. Donating the proceeds of the televised coverage to mental health research at a big Ivy League university or some other big cause & using the event and celebrity power to end the stigma

I can see Harry abs Meghan doing what they’ve done with Invictus - something really substantial that makes a huge difference.

I don’t truly know what exactly the Royal do and I read royal news - I know Kate does early years etc but not what they’re doing beyond promoting and visiting places.

I can see a Meghan & Harry really doing something global and substantial and hitting the ground running.

I see the royals getting stale with the new streamlined Royal not getting headlines. It’ll be tricky with no lesser royals to generate scandals and glamour, weddings and babies and leave the main players to look aloof, above being Human and immortal.

what do you predict for the next chapter of royals and Harry Meghan ?

I also think a lot depends on their reception of his book in the US. Harry has burnt his bridges in the Uk but I’m not sure what the American people think. They may not view his airing of dirty laundry as tawdry, but I don’t think the movers & shakers will want much to do with them. I’d imagine they value their privacy.

ImBlueDab · 12/01/2023 12:05

We've got 2 more books and all the interviews that go with the books.

We've then got much of the same for Meghan.

I really hope it doesn't happen, but I also think there's likely to be a divorce and all the crap around that - think Jonny and amber type fiasco

TrashyPanda · 12/01/2023 12:05

I can see Invictus disowning him after his dreadful comments about a person with a physical handicap.

his only specialist area is himself and the royal family - where he is proven to be an unreliable narrator. There is only so much people can stand of his habitual moaning and lack of self-awareness.

he will become less relevant with every passing day.

the much feted Archewell has achieved nothing.

he Is tarnishing the shine of success that surrounded him and Meghan.

his drug habit will increase and he will become even more paranoid.

she will get tired of the man child and they will divorce.

big custody battle, which she wins, and he slinks back to Nott Cott with his tail between his legs and is occasionally seen opening dog-biscuit factories

Wheresthebeach · 12/01/2023 12:06

I think they will continue as they are, slinging mud until the media and public gets bored of it.

M Obama said 'when they go low, we go high'. Harry has gone lower than a snakes belly and A listers will avoid them like the plague now. They've made it clear that they will betray private conversations if it suits, and that 'their truth' doesn't have to be factual.

Someone else will earn their ire for some reason, and there will be a public feud with them. Harry will get a shock when he has to deal with someone that answers back.

MistletoeandBaileys · 12/01/2023 12:09

Meghan has the ability to do very very well I reckon. I think if she announced tomorrow that she was divorcing Harry, she would have a huge amount of offers, potential talk show gigs, even entering political circles etc.

She is savvy and intelligent and has the wisdom of having years spent in the Hollywood circle to navigate a career and be a great success.

This book has painted her in a good light in my opinion. This book has shown the world that this is who Harry always was. The Palace just did a good job of hiding it.

But while she is still with Harry she seems almost tainted. I can’t see anyone who would want to work with the pair of them now. Harry has damaged their facade in a way.

Anything you said at the start OP I reckon could have been achieved when they first left in 2020.

The next big pay day for them will be when they divorce and the mud slinging happens all over again.

socialmedia23 · 12/01/2023 12:11

Meghan to run for president. She wouldn't divorce Harry solely for that reason as America would not accept a divorced woman as president. Its hard enough trying to run as a woman for president, let alone as a divorced woman.

AutumnCrow · 12/01/2023 12:12

I also think that H will something dumb about the wrong person and get his ass sued, probably in London, maybe in the US.

Those around him to whom he looks for support will just shrug and say 'occupational hazard of being a tosser, mate'.

Good point.
US courts won't be interested in 'their truth' - this is where Harry may learn the value of 'facts'.

I've heard that Courtney Cox is already doing this.

FirstFallopians · 12/01/2023 12:25

What on earth is he going to talk about in books 2 & 3, that’s my question.

I saw a post saying book 2 was supposed to be about Invictus. With the best will in the world, it’s the messy gossip that sells- I’m not sure a book about charity work will have the same draw.

Delectable · 12/01/2023 12:25

This is part of the reason why they couldn't stay. Meg is over qualified for the job. She's been an activist since she was 11. She's been travelling to Asia, Africa volunteering in far flung parts of the world getting her hands dirty and mixing with the poorest in the world.
She's been UN ambassador, successful acting career in a cut throat industry, is beautiful, articulate, dresses well, can speak on any topic, exudes warmth etc. Totally over qualified to sit behind cold walls trading stories to the media as leaks for positive press.

Many come to Mumsnet going on about MIL issues and step parents she has not simply a MIL desperate to clean her image but she's a STEP-MIL with everything to fight for.

Patineur · 12/01/2023 12:32

If they end up in a fight about the children, this book is going to be gold dust for Meghan's lawyers. He's placed her as a perfect human being who has sadly been wronged by his family, whereas by contrast he has placed himself as dysfunctional and seriously fucked up. Not a good starting point.

Plumbear2 · 12/01/2023 12:21

That's interesting. An A-lister (I think Courtney Cox qualifies as an A-lister?) bites back? To use one of Harry's favourite words, that'll ripple around Hollywood / LA.

UnknownElement · 12/01/2023 12:39

They will dominate headlines for a few months, it will begin to tail off naturally. Only the hardcore will remain interested. Fade but not totally disappear when she dumps him the divorce will mean they are in the headlines again. He will totally lose the plot ending up in a place like the Priory.

user1471505494 · 12/01/2023 12:45

Complete mental breakdown for Harry, divorce custody battle. Not sure how he can remain involved with the Invictus Games. I certainly do not see them having a global future as anything other than a laughing stock

Spck · 12/01/2023 12:47

@Delectable one of the saddest things about this is I think Meghan could have carved out a really interesting role for herself within the commonwealth and Harry had similar interests.

Spck · 12/01/2023 12:47

That bit of what he is saying has truth I think.

amaryllis134 · 12/01/2023 12:53

I love to know who their friends and are who they hang out with in LA, apart from Meg's Mum. I mean, who would trust them? Would you?

bloodyplanes · 12/01/2023 12:53

ZeroFuchsGiven · 12/01/2023 09:23

Divorce and custody battle, selling stories along the way of course.

This most definitely! Probably within the next few years.

barneshome · 12/01/2023 12:59

What is next is more woke gibberish and more whinging and whining

Would rather have a snake in my bed

dottiedodah · 12/01/2023 13:03

I think they will lie low for a bit .Possibly re emerging to give their "say " in the Coronation of King Charles 3rd .Especially as they will no longer be going apparently .Harry comes across as a rather sad figure ,he lost his Mum at an early age and could have benefitted from a strong brotherly link. They may take some sort of "Harry and Meghan" type of talk show maybe . Need to re invent themselves now!

Your fucking joking.... Hollywood? A list?
The A list want nothing to do with the Sussex pair. God knows what damage they could do to any Hollywood star with their recollections of the "truth". They are dangerous.
Also what event would have those pair as hosts, security nightmare with him now being the Talibans no 1 target...

stormywaves · 12/01/2023 13:05

I envision a book 'The Courtier's Tale' which will be written by the people who worked for H&M and left. It is just one big bandwagon to milk now...

atotalshambles · 12/01/2023 13:08

I think Meghan will go into politics and more activism. I think maybe democrat Governor of California and even go for president. I hope Harry and his family reconcile at some point although it will be hard (if I was William I would find what he has done difficult to forgive). I think Harry has never got over his mother's death and how the media operate.
