Prince Harry - sounds articulate and quite intelligent

There seems to be an accepted view that Prince Harry is very dim and unintelligent but he seems to be to be really quite articulate and have a wide vocabulary (antagonist, complicit.) I've thought this before when he made a speech at the Invictus games but assumed it was written for him and he was reading it but the answers to the questions in the interview couldn't all possibly have been learnt,

He should have put some of that intelligence to the naming of his book 📕

Spare is too non descript.

‘Twat’ would be too misogynistic.

‘Prick’ more like it. But wait one more…’Wanker’ it’s got the right ring to it and sums up his whinging persona just right.

Quoting conversations with his brother and wife from 5 yrs ago does indeed make him an utter wanker.

🤣🤣

Prince Charles has two A-Levels, which are a B in History and a C in French.
And yet no one is suggesting he is extremely dim.

Three I though. Anyway that hardly matters. Different times. People now do way better in exams because they are coached within an inch of your life.

To be overburdened with intelligence is not what you want from the royal family. They would rebel and over question it. Depression and anxiety are also associated with higher intelligence. Life is better if you just aren’t that aware of things.

donquixotedelamancha · 08/01/2023 23:47

But to suggest someone is extremely dim is supposed to be a slur. It is saying - oh do not listen to him, he is just stupid.

Canes are fine. What else would you use to thrash your footman when he steps out of line?

RLOU30 · 08/01/2023 23:48

God it was dull. Could have played word bingo at the number of times he said “British press” and unconscious bias “
never heard someone speak so much but say pretty much nothing all at once

rumship · 08/01/2023 23:50

Funny I wondered why he kept sniffing his nose like he's just sniffed a line and also kept going red and getting quite aggressive when he was questioned or it wasn't going his way.

Sniff sniff 👃

Indeed, imagine a drinking game where a sip was taken every time Harry uttered ''Briddish Press''..One would be blotto within 5 minutes.

It would be a completely different interview if conducted by Emily Matilis. Now that would be an interview and a half

Agree .
I have known several people who had decent educations, and who had articulate people around them so they picked up on key words to use, and ways of speaking, but who were really not intelligent at all. Harry is like this. I think Meghan is like this too, to some degree. I don’t think either of them would hold their own in an interview with EM or someone else of her calibre.

VioletLemon · 08/01/2023 23:52

BJ is not highly intelligent. He has an incredible memory and vocabulary, is a brilliant orator and had access to a privileged education but he has no insight, emotional intelligence, reasoning or critical thinking skills.

With input from the teachers don’t forget.

And I can’t even spell geography 😂😂

@rumship hhe did sniff a lot.

It is perfectly possible for delusional people with serious mental illnesses to come across as articulate and of sound mind. His dulcet tones and Received Pronunciation can help achieve this illusion.

Definite American tinge to his 'Accent~less accent' these days.
'Securidy' 'Tidles' 'Briddish'.

I watched some of it. Thought he sounded ok, much better than W&K do when speaking.

He's had lots of practice beforehand with his media people.

SirVixofVixHall · 08/01/2023 23:58

I remember reading years ago that his tutors thought he was below average intelligence. I haven’t seen anything to convince me otherwise. Of course brains can be overrated. There are many lovely, good hearted men who are not super brainy but who are wonderful human beings, just as there are many spiteful and unpleasant yet brilliant men. Harry isn’t exactly striking me as the former though !

EM just does what people should do just gives people enough rope to hang themselves. As Napoleon said: Never interrupt the enemy when they are making a mistake.

Yep you may be forgiven he's on something.

oakleaffy · 09/01/2023 00:01

When he gets angry, he sounds more American: ''Bedder'' instead of 'Better' Dropping his T's for D's.

You definitely don’t want them to be very bright. There life would suffocate them. A work colleague has a friend who taught Prince George. Bang average apparently. I was relieved for him.

Beachdays44 · 09/01/2023 00:03

I thought his body language was interesting at the end when he was asked if he was happy...he looked away a number of times and said something about being happy but that 'some other people' wouldn't be happy if he was? Compared to when asked about his kids and he gave a genuinely happy look.

I haven't read a tabloid in more than twenty years... I was surprised when he said something about all the newspapers being lined out at the various Palaces and you couldn't avoid them? Surely they don't buy those rags?!

And right at the end of everything which is known in Cali because of the Spanish influence. quieres comer un platano, si?

DeoForty · 09/01/2023 00:06

He comes across well. He is measured, confident, balanced.

Delectable · 09/01/2023 00:06

Where can one watch the interviews? I thought they're US channels only. Surprised UK media aka Murrock entrpise will touch him. No more leaks "Palace Sources" aka no comment from Palace.

Would a 'quite intelligent' man think it was a good idea to go into such detail about his time in the army, provoking a response from the Taliban?

The man is a fool, I've seen 15 year olds with a greater ability to consider the consequences of their actions.

Agree. I have a 15 year old, she has a lot more sense than this.
