The royal family

Will H&M be invited to the coronation in May? And will they have the brass (or frostbitten😩) balls to attend?

That is the million dollar question?!

Any guesses? If I was Charles I wouldn't invite them.. Megs would absolute love it of course...

They will be invited to sit behind the candle again.

Nurserymumm · 06/01/2023 01:01

@coodawoodashooda & of course they'll attend. Anything to be in the spotlight & make it about themselves.

I wonder what the public response will be if they do?

Nurserymumm · 06/01/2023 01:10

Not good. I'm sure anyone who turns up is there to wish King Charles the very best. The sight of these two will overshadow Charles. If the crown is to be believed Charles won't want anyone raining or (reigning) on his parade...

I don't think the public will have much support for them after this latest money making sell out. The revelations reportedly in book about 'H' and his frostnipped penis, mounting a cougar, not being circumcised etc will give rise to some new nicknames. I doubt W will speak to him again. H looks like he could do with a laugh, don't think he's laughed since 2015.

Menomenon · 06/01/2023 01:15

They need to find an excuse to stay away graciously.

Really sadly, I think Harry is desperate to be there. He definitely has not moved on, that’s for sure.

notangelinajolie · 06/01/2023 01:15

Absolutely they will be invited.

And absolutely they will come

Blossomtoes · 06/01/2023 01:20

And absolutely they’ll be booed.

toomuchlaundry · 06/01/2023 01:23

And then they will write a book on it

miri1985 · 06/01/2023 01:24

From previews of the interviews Harry has given where he says balls in their court about him attending, I don't think he means about whether or not he'll be invited, I think he wants grovelling apologies from everyone who he thinks has wronged him and Meghan before attending. I don't think especially after this book that hes going to get reconcilliation in the way he seems to want.

I think they will be invited but they have also been given the greatest reason to decline given that its Archie's birthday

Let’s hope it’s as entertaining as Spare.

XanaduKira · 06/01/2023 01:27

I think they'll be invited and I also think they'll attend as they need to keep their royal connections to have future stories to tell sadly.

I agree with PP that Harry will expect a grovelling apology first and if he doesn't get it, will no doubt bleat about the fact that he's the magnanimous one!

Menomenon · 06/01/2023 01:37

Yes, absolutely bizarre. How can he be so deluded? He acts like a man who thinks he will be home by Christmas back in the bosom of his family, with everyone agreeing how Harry was right all along.

Cranberrystreet · 06/01/2023 01:38

I hope so.

Shelefttheweb · 06/01/2023 01:55

How is this a ā€˜great reason’? All sorts of things happen on kids birthdays that mean parties are a few days earlier or later and presents done quickly before leaving for something. It is a rather pathetic reason to miss your grandfather’s coronation.

Personally I think its an easy way to save face if relations haven't been repaired, we would love to attend but its our sons birthday. Of course the Birthday party could be moved to another date but its a really convenient excuse if they don't want to attend IMHO

I really don’t think they can come. Harry’s put the kibosh on it by saying he killed 25 Taliban. London will be rammed with crowds for the coronation and his attendance would make security an absolute nightmare.

Or he released this information on purpose to prove he needs protection in the U.K. at the taxpayers expense?

TooBigForMyBoots · 06/01/2023 03:31

I hope they are invited and I hope they come. Their children too.🤓

Nurserymumm · 06/01/2023 03:42

I agree that the Taliban claim was absolutely reckless. Maybe he said it to create tension, unrest & fear about the coronation & take the gloss out of KCs day. If they have any sense they'll stay in L. A with their kids

I really would love to know if he thought that through properly and what consequences it will have long term for him and his family. Just look at the attack on Salman Rushdie, it had been how many years since the fatwa and still there was someone holding enough of a grudge to try and kill him, the taliban has enough followers that will be holding a grudge against him that he will have to dramatically increase his current security I expect.

I think its fair enough that Harry should have Met security when hes back on official business something like attending the Coronation or I assume there will be a service of thanksgiving for the Queen like there was for Philip but when Harry and Meghan are back for stuff like the One World summit they attended in Manchester or just because they want to visit the UK then it seems unfair that they should have taxpayer funded security. I also think its a slippery slope to allow Harry to pay for Met protection officers like he claimed to have offered to do in the home office case because then how can other people be refused it like could Jeff Bezos offer to pay. Also how much would you charge, the equivalent private cost in the UK would be probably be priceless because its impossible to pay for the equivalent intel and firepower

This was the Talibans opinion of him 10 years ago & I agree. They're not far wrong.

They will be invited
They will come (they have to to have a story to sell)
He will stand there and think that should have been me one day
He will refuse to swear the oath that the Dukes have to
Then he will hopefully be stripped of his titles
And then there will be fodder for another three volume book deal.

urbanbuddha · 06/01/2023 06:25

That may well be so, but a crowd which might be portrayed as supporting him could also be at risk. There’s just no way they should come.
