To think physical fights between two brothers in their thirties is bloody weird - why are people normalising it?

William and Harry had a physical fight in their thirties - sorry but this is not acceptable and is plain effin weird.

And I have not been a h and m supporter in any way I think they're ridiculous but this is shocking that every tv programme and commentary about this is like - oh well it's just brothers fighting?!!

So we are condoning violence now in 2022?

No one has the right to be physical with anyone, not even brothers - AIBU? (Please be subjective even if you dislike Harry!)

Oh come on, we only have one, dramatised, version of events. If it was that bad at the time Harry would/should have taken some official action about it, or called the police to report an assault.

Ninjapot · 05/01/2023 19:08

And how many new threads do we actually need about this bloody book?

Sqqueeeeeeee · 05/01/2023 19:08

I think it’s more that we’ve heard one side of the story from a party who has lied multiple times before so it’s more of an “ok, if you say so” rather than a “violence is fine” comment

ncpostingabout · 05/01/2023 19:09

Hmmmm but assuming he is being truthful which noone seems to be disputing about this particular instance, the general reaction is - brothers always fight

@Ninjapot why click in them?!!

The account I read it wasn't a fight, it was an assault, which is clearly not OK.

Lots of people are disputing it. Many people on this thread are disputing it. No one who was there, apart from him, has said anything at all about any of it. But he’s tangled himself up in lies on other things so people are skeptical on this.

IncessantNameChanger · 05/01/2023 19:12

I haven't heard anyone normalising it yet. H didn't say how he was knocked over? Knocked off his feet? Knocked out with a punch? Tripped backwards over the dog bowl?

It's extremely dysfunctional and toxic at best

@Ninjapot why click in them?!!

To report them so they can be moved to the royal family topic which half of mn has hidden by now.

blubberyboo · 05/01/2023 19:13

And I refuse to believe William just came about in a rage one day for nothing. Them 2 have been causing trouble

ChocChipOwl · 05/01/2023 19:13

Ffs just put this shit in the right topic

A lot of us have hidden it for a good reason

Spectre8 · 05/01/2023 19:16

I agree OP, take away who the people are, its 2 adults who should know better. If that happened in my family I'd be quite disgusted fhat two adults resorted to shouting matches and then it progressed to someone getting hurt.

You wouldn't teach your kids that behaviour is okay

KimMumsnet · 05/01/2023 19:16

Hi, OP. We've moved this thread to the Royal Family topic now.

Please, please Mumsnet, can we have a Royal Family board and move all these bloody threads to it? Please?

ChocChipOwl · 05/01/2023 19:18

@PonyPatter44 believe it or not, there is one

jannier · 05/01/2023 19:18

Sat here with 2 unrelated men and they both said as soon as it came on news ....that's brothers isn't it....type remark.

Weirdwonders · 05/01/2023 19:18

I don’t get to ‘condone’ anything else the Royal family do or don’t do so why should I give a shit if two brothers have a fight? They can fight all they like for all I care. He couldn’t care less about me or the general public so why am I supposed to have sympathy for his stupid privileged sibling spat? Does he even have a clue about anything else that’s going on in the UK at the moment?

IhateJan22 · 05/01/2023 19:21

I don’t know, I reckon I could fight with my Sister. In fact we got chucked out of pub for just that at 31 🤣

Oh no, I’m going to be banished to Mumsnet jail. 🤣

TimeToFlyNow · 05/01/2023 19:21

It's not normal no, I'm sure if it had been the other way round it would have been leaked to the papers as soon as it happened.

Just because someone is an afgsgan vet doesn't mean they are going to fight back or that they can't be hurt or upset about it

Imagine the poor officer tasked with knocking on the doors of Buck House to arrest the future King 😁😁

Recollections may vary. Thats what HM the queen said. Not surprising he waited till after her death before publishing this embarrassing juvenile garbage

Someone on Twitter said something like “my brother did that when I took a chip off his plate” which sums it up for me 😂😂

Nobody knows how to wind someone up like a sibling. Also his name isn’t Harold…it sounds like something William either calls him as a nickname or to annoy him.
