It happens because there isn't anything happening from either side.

Nothing further from the US side after that one public statement (which BBC noted was a breach of the confidentiality unsually associated with MLAs). Only the one statement, denying the US assertion of non-cooperation from PA.

So there really isn't anything else going on, and quite a lot of other stuff vying for attention. If he was caught on camera in public, or did any activities (eg with a charity) it would be bound to attract comment.

But he's just staying put, living out of sight, and will probably stay they way for some time.

PA is the master of hoping it all will go away. He will duck and dive, procastinate about suitable conditions for questioning, all in the hope he won't have to face any.

It will probably all come to the fore again when the US pushes or something like Beatrice's wedding. No idea what's happening with that, it was going to be May. Feel sorry for her, the minute she announces new plans for it, Andrew/Epstein will be mentioned undoubtedly.

Yes, he's bound to be at his own DD's wedding, and if either princess has DC then at christening (but I should imagine they'd happen without fuss, and if no photos released, or of only parents and sprog/s, then his presence would be unmarked)

And we might see him going to church as Sandringham (separate to main Royals arrival, like last Christmas). And idc family funerals. But out of sight the rest of the time

PA must thank goodness for MM, with all the fuss in the press over her BFF no-one cares about the dodgy sleazeball. My concern is that his sleaziness is becoming so normalised that soon we'll find him as acceptable as Uncle Geoffrey at a Bridget Jones christmas buffet.

Apparently so; at least it's said she's not been seen for ages, so maybe someone tipped off the FBI as to her whereabouts?

I put this on AIBU too, and the general view on there is that she'll go the same way as her dad and Epstein ... though as I said, a "job lot" might look a bit unfortunate
The other point of agreement is that, given the number of high profile people involved with Epstein, there's no way this will be allowed near a court

I think PA is so filled with his own self-importance that he actually believes that Maxwell will take a bullet for him. This woman is evil I don't think she's capable of caring for anyone other than herself.

They have apparently known where she is all along which is what I suspected.

She had the cash to buy a fuck off ranch and three passports. She could have used all that to put herself out of reach but then she'd always have been looking over her shoulder. I think she's been cutting a plea deal on the sly and this arrest is the preface to that playing out.

She will sing like a whole flock of canaries and end up with a slap on the wrist.

On the upside though I expect Andy has had a miracle cure for his medical condition.

Andrew is using head in the sand royal tactics. I certainly think it works. Look what happened when he gave that disastrous interview. He's keeping quiet but it won't go away. I wonder what the Maxwell woman will have to say for herself. Will she talk or will it be no comment. We shall see.
