The cat rescue has a stall at a local fete next Saturday & I spent the past few hours at another volunteer’s house, helping to sort stuff for it.

She’s a maternity specialist & while I was there I also met the three kittens she’s currently fostering. Two three-month-olds and their nine-month-old mother, Jenny.

Counting back, she gave birth at six months & got pregnant when she wasn’t much older than her kittens are now.

Luckily it’s a happy ending in this case. Jenny came in pregnant and was well looked after through the pregnancy & birth.
All three are healthy, & happy, Jenny is now safely spayed & has a new home lined up, & her daughter will never have to go through that.

But it could so easily have gone differently. And most rescues are on their knees because of the irresponsible half-wits who can’t be arsed to neuter their cats or to take responsibility for the inevitable results.

I started typing an email to a cat rescue that I've had most of my cats from, asking if they had any cats who liked cuddling. Thanks I stopped myself bed pressing send as I don't think I should get any more at the moment. However I did then order a car shaped cushion with Frank's face on it. Wine and sadness are not a good combo!!

I'm sorry you're missing Frank @RumNotRun Are none of your other cats cuddlers? We need a photo of the cushion when it arrives.

They can be occasionally, mainly Raven, but Frank wasn't either apart from his few minutes each time we went to bed. I hope the cushion isn't disappointing! I will of course share a photo, regardless of what it looks like.

Years ago when Alizè was PTS, I found a company that made exact replicas of your pet in soft toy format. The ones on the website were amazing. I saved up and ordered one of Ali then patiently waited for weeks. I was gutted when it arrived. It was the mind of really cheap furry fabric that you get in fairground toys. The back legs weren't even while legs, they were just the paw part, and aside from being a black cat, it had none of the features I'd asked to be included. I tried to persuade myself that it wasn't as bad as I thought, but I still am annoyed that I didn't complain and didn't give reviews on places like Trustpilot.

Would you like to add a picture of the cushion?
I am planning to visit a local cat café but part of me doesn't want to in case I fall in love with a resident (they are up for adoption) and I feel I would be unfaithful to my late Pud. One day, maybe.

At the moment, Toad and Ghost are keeping me company, Fred is sleeping on my desk, and Raven is in the window bed, so they're spending time in the same room even if no one wants cuddles. Lex spends most of his time in the kitchen in case he misses out on any food 😂

Have not been in touch with GP but will make an appointment this afternoon.

On lots of medication including painkillers. Nothing that causes bruising though.

Yes, I am safe. My assailants are 17 miles away.
Also, I have a wrist band which puts me through to immediate emergency help.
