Good news that it wasn't a stroke @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne but still a worry that you're having the extreme dizziness.

Linney and Gizmo will be missing you but they have the whole village to look after by the sounds of it - based on the fact that everyone knows them! And Gizmo will be taking the opportunity to break into the forbidden bathroom cupboard no doubt 😸

hope the new docs get to the bottom of your symptoms and how to successfully treat them.

They're changed their mind and think it's a cerebellar stroke.

Hope you feel better soon @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne 💐

Oh no Broon thinking of you and wishing for good recovery Flowers

Pudmyboy · 17/06/2026 20:00

Ah the flip-flopping diagnosis technique, sadly common in the NHS. I also wish you a speedy recovery Broon, how are you doing?

Breadcat24 · 17/06/2026 20:25

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne hope you are safe stabilized and get a sensible diagnosis

RumNotRun · 17/06/2026 22:38

Oh shit @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne How are you feeling? Have they given you any indication of prognosis or treatment? We're all here for you.

JaceLancs · 17/06/2026 22:41

@CatsonPollock Finlay is doing fine thank you - he’s got a few days left of the bladder supplement - bug vet did say might be worth considering a lower dose on a longer term basis
Still on the anti inflammatory meds which hopefully is helping the arthritis
Both are easy to mix in with licky lix which he loves so easy to administer and monitor when he’s been around long enough to lap it up
Another bonus was insurance paid out really quickly - hitting my bank before the credit card I put it on is due - excess of £99 but well worth it

JaceLancs · 17/06/2026 22:47

@Breadcat24 hope not! But I gave up camping years ago - give me a nice hotel any day - DS is young enough to enjoy the novelty and there’s a crowd of them going to whatever festival it is
@EmpressaurusKitty its all or nothing with Finlay - home and needy but loving - or out on a grand adventure

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 17/06/2026 23:05

Best wishes Broon. 💐

CatsonPollock · 17/06/2026 23:33

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne What a shit time you're having 😔 Hoping you're recovering now with a positive prognosis.

Nope. Wet the bed this morning then got up, peed all over the floor and then fell backwards on the floor as had no ability to stay upright.

Sebastian is not doing so well again so DD2 is taking him to the vet and DH is coming to see me this morning.

Hope they can cure Sebastian.

Sorry TMI for Grumpy regarding bladder. You ladies won't mind.

Sick of this.
Oh and phone got lost until one of the nurses had a brainwave and figured it had probably gone in the dirty laundry when they changed my bed. And it had. She got it back just in time because the porters had it.
OMG what else could go wrong!!

OP posts:
TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 18/06/2026 09:37

At least I didn't have to get DD2 to buy me another phone.
It would have been pointless asking DH to get one because he's a techno-fuckwit.

Just got this message from DD2:

Sebastian has triaditis, there is no known cure. The vet wants to try him on steroids for the next two weeks then we'll see if he can come off them or if he needs to stay on them. He responded well to the one she gave him last week so I'm hoping this will help him feel better

OP posts:
TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 18/06/2026 11:35

Any of you ever heard of triaditis?
I haven't.
Hope Sebastian gets better.
It sounds quite serious.

Right, my own medication has now arrived at the pharmacy so I've finally started it.

Defiantly41 · 18/06/2026 13:38

Blimey, Broon, what an epic bad time for you and your loved ones. Hope the correct meds sort you out 💐

I have a feeling Ollie or Shady had triaditis. I’m not sure what handle Shady’s hooman goes by these days, or if she’s even here, although I see her posts often on FB with glorious pics of Shady (one recently with the neatest folded paws ever)

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 18/06/2026 13:58

DH brought my favourite sweets.
He was clearly worried.
He's coming back on Sunday with DD2.
He'd had his hair cut and had his best clothes on.

When life is this shit you have to start looking for the silver linings no matter how small they are.

Wet the bed this morning then got up, peed all over the floor and then fell backwards on the floor as had no ability to stay upright.

Silver linings x3 - you didn't have to change the bed or do the laundry , or mop the floor. Those are serious wins in my book. Hope yours and Sebastian's meds start working soon Flowers
