Herbie hasn't ventured out. He decided to take up residence on DS's bed, which I'll get in trouble for later...better get lint rolling!

Spotted a very handsome NMH at Hampton Court today.
The weather round us has been much better than anticipated today. I should sue the BBC for ONE BILLION DOLLARS for calling the weather into disrepute 🤣

Gizmo was watching an episode where an eccentric old man took a kitten out to the shops with him, while he nicked foodstuffs.

The man's unlikely defence was that he stole the food because he didn't have any money.

The shopping he stole was:

1lb rice
Small drum curry powder
One orange
1lb minced beef

Would anyone like to guess how much this came to - it was 1972.

BTW the kitten didn't seem to have any role in the theft - unless he was the lookout.

It's been horrible here today. I got an email telling me I have got through to interview stage for a job, so decided to go to Lidl for something lovely to celebrate with. I thought the rain had stopped. Well, it had, briefly, but only to be replaced by hail. I therefore bought extra wine so I don't have to leave the house again 😁

Thanks @EmpressaurusKitty I am still a bit in shock as I did my usual leave it to the last minute application. I'm not entirely sure I want the job, it's not a promotion or pay rise or anything, just gets me away from line management which would be good!

They're all ok, I think Toad sometimes misses Vixie when he's in the kitchen but he's taken on some of her behaviours like wandering up and down the worktop when I'm trying to cook, and putting his nosey little head in the fridge every time I open it!

He obviously thinks someone’s got to do it & now its his turn!

Well I've had a shitty day - new kitten Pebbles went AWOL early this morning 😭 Hours spent walking the streets looking for him and a desperate plea on the local Facebook lost and found pets page.

He rocked up at 8pm, hungry but purring his head off 🙄😻
