Prison Dramas, Bands and Ouija Boards - the Excellent Cats audition, sing and plot

Our feline overlords have so many current strings to their joint and several bows.

Auditioning for Series One of The Prison Cat, forming a band, and continuing to plot against their enemies by means of their Ouija Boards - will they even have time to sleep now?

It’s actually their second one as we got them right at the end of September last year. They are not that bothered about the tree really, even Stripey, who normally likes attacking plants. They are slightly peeved that their cat tree has been moved to accommodate it, but are coping. Last year they enjoyed batting at ornaments but showed no interest in climbing it. They never climbed the curtains either when they were kittens.

Fab picture @stormsandsunshine! Luckily, none of our cats have ever been climbers but even now, with the last remaining cat being 19.5 years old, I have to carefully manage which baubles go lower down on the tree, as they get a nightly bashing.

to be honest, I’m so pleased she still has the interest and instinct to play at this age, I’d happily re-do the baubles every day if it made her happy!

One of our crew is still a bit of a wire chewer so needs to be carefully monitored around the Christmas lights so we don't end up with fried cat!

Ugh.
The roof has been fixed. That's a very positive thing.

Someone will be coming to assess the ceiling. I think it needs some work. Bits of it are very damp and discoloured but it's not going to fall down, anyway.

So Linney’s house & Gizmo’s donut are safe. Phew.

Last night I watched the 1950s film Bell, Book and Candle with friends. It is good fun and has a central Siamese cat character who performs some really impressive antics!

We’re calling this one ‘Come & have a go if you think you’re hard enough’.

I finished making my coffee & took the photo before waving Kitty’s wand toy for her.

So yes. Very bad.

Toad decided 4am was a fantastic time to start shouting for breakfast. My neighbour had just come home so Toad possibly was woken by him, but I then had Toad's "singing" for a good ten minutes before I eventually managed to go back to sleep 😴

None of the others decided to join the choir? I hope Toad keeps that as a one off.

I think the others were the same as me, hoping he'd shut up. If it had gone on for much longer I probably would have fed him just to shut him up.

Gizmo had sex with my favourite duvet cover this morning, then got annoyed with me when I threw him off the bed.

Is that the one he keeps having sex with?

TBF he's indiscriminate.

Once I get up and he's had his breakfast, he heads back through to the bedroom to enjoy himself on whichever duvet cover happens to be on the bed.

I’m trying to work out how to put this…

Maybe there’s a better use for The Masturbator than selling it on eBay?
