I've already prepared roast celeriac, parsnips, carrots, sweet potatoes and butternut squash. They're all in the freezer.

I've made my famous shallot and oatmeal stuffing.

DS1 arrived from London yesterday, driving his first car. It took him ten hours. He's staying with DS2.

Raven, Ghostie and I have been watching films since I finished work. Toad keeps coming downstairs periodically to shout at me for chicken as he knows I roasted one yesterday.

I am really looking forward to a lie in tomorrow and having nothing to do all day! I'm at home on my own with the cats for Christmas and I am really looking forward to it!

We arrived at DDs boyfriend's and mum's house near Epping forest yesterday.
They have 3 Burmese cats! The beige one, Leia, is very friendly and has already sat on DS's lap!

At least Kitty is at home. We're away for 4 days and couldn't book Herbie in his usual cattery so he's trying another one. It seemed nice and the owners were lovely.

Snowcat likes to guard the Christmas tree

Yay finished work until next week thank goodness! Things were a little frantic right up to almost 5pm yesterday, plus lovely boss is off for 2 very well deserved weeks and told me Friday afternoon "oh yes, don't forget you're in charge while I'm away". So obviously 2 staff have developed health issues. One soldiered on brilliantly while feeling so ill her face matched our white desks, and the other still coped from home having torn a tendon or ligament in her shoulder! I told them both to log off early yesterday, & took over the phone lines for them.

Girlcat heard me singing along to Cliff Richard's "Mistletoe & wine" and told me the words should be "DOGs on the fire and CATS IN the tree", I have compromised to "dogs BY the fire and cats in the tree".

I think she's been bullying poor Tobias again; when I got in yesterday I gave them each half a Webbox stick about a yard away from each other as per usual. She just LOOKED at him, & he slunk off leaving her with both pieces.

Kitty was swinging her tail energetically while purring loudly from under the duvet. I have no idea what that’s about.

Tree has been decorated today - as usual the cats aren't really bothered.

Surely not he looks so innocent Broon 😇

He does have very handsome floof.

Due to a bit of confusion around what was in stock at Zooplus, Kitty’s Christmas present (tunnel) and her birthday present (new cat tree) are both sitting in my hall waiting to be built.

Given the choice between building both of them over the holiday & leaving one in its box for 3 months, I think I’m just going to build them both & she can have new bowls for her birthday, which I want to get her anyway. We’re gradually moving from cat trees to a cat forest.
