Auditioning for Series One of The Prison Cat, forming a band, and continuing to plot against their enemies by means of their Ouija Boards - will they even have time to sleep now?

As long as Picard and Suzy are willing to hold him down while Linney puts it on him.

That could be a fun game for them all (except Gizmo!)

My friend’s rather nervous cat has just started on Gabapentin & she thinks it’s increased his appetite. Has anyone else noticed that?

As a human user of gabapentin, I can confirm that it increases my appetite. It's a known side-effect.

I haven't got a lurgy (at the moment) but I've been out a lot.

However, I'm now in, and the box set of Dickensian has been started.

Oh, and I've put up the Christmas tree. I nearly didn't, but decided "sod it" - why should I avoid the nice things of Christmas just because bollock-brains has buggered off?

So I've decorated the house, bought the turkey and am waiting for DS1 to arrive in a few days' time.

I can't actually remember when he's coming, which I think is a good thing.

He's driving up for the first time, having passed his test and bought a car a few weeks ago.

I think I'll just panic, thinking about him driving 550 miles. With very little experience. Oh well.

Ooh I enjoyed Dickensian!
I gave up my TV licence as I rarely watch terrestrial TV any more, but at this time of year I miss things like Dickensian, and The Gruffalo, and Tabby McTatt...(I may have spelt the last one incorrectly)

When I passed my test, I drove from the Midlands to Scotland though just to Dumfries and Galloway, for a holiday. Once past Manchester the traffic was much less and the road nice and straight. I was very proud of myself as well as enjoying my trip, it was late September so no midges. I hope your DS1 has a similarity enjoyable and safe trip Broon.

It's been blooming cold here today. Raven has fallen asleep twice under the heated blanket and other blanket. I know cats like the warm but she takes it to a whole new level. I'm surprised she hasn't melted.

I've been busy trying to sort out Christmas shopping. Matilda has been busy with some very important cat business using my laptop.

I am busy with a choir concert coming up. Still lots to sort out before we go to DD's boyfriend and his mum for Christmas (which will be different).
DD is here with us until we all go there on 23rd. She's just done a brilliant clarinet recital in Sevenoaks (for once I didn't accompany and got to he in the audience!)
Herbie also sends his his best wishes!

@Pianoaholic well done DD. I played clarinet in my "youth", can't play now my fingers cramp up😪

It was my "2nd study" instrument in a former life, I never play it now, but that's not helped by the fact I gave my DD my clarinet! (though she has since got an even better one!)

It's a very old one from IKEA that's very faded now. I can't quite bring myself to throw it out though. It's two sided, so I can have a black Boris cat or a White Matilda cat.
