Our feline overlords have so many current strings to their joint and several bows.

Auditioning for Series One of The Prison Cat, forming a band, and continuing to plot against their enemies by means of their Ouija Boards - will they even have time to sleep now?

I can't get my head round that either.
But Jonah does look very smooth so perhaps weekly baths are the way forward.
I look forward to the Gizmo update 🤣🤣🤣

Kitty would like to point out that her fur is very elegant even without baths.

But we’re looking forward to the Gizmo update too.

I gave Gizmo an accidental bath yesterday.

I was holding a bottle of water. The lid of the bottle wasn't on.
I stumbled slightly on the legs of my mini exercise bike and the water went everywhere.

Well, not everywhere. It mostly went on Gizmo.

He was not amused.

Poor Gizmo.

I wanted this colour and style in any case.

I used to have an American colleague who used to give her cat a bath. I've always thought it was one of the USPs of cats that they are self-cleaning. Though I've been a bit insulted a few times when I've been stroking one of the cats and they then decide that they urgently need to wash the bit of fur I was touching.

We've had a few Boris doormats from IKEA. I bought a nice fancy polka dot bristly one from the garden centre that Matilda kept weeing on, so back to the Boris it is.

I lurk on a few cat facebook groups for the pics, and there are a surprising number of people, usually Americans, asking for tips on how to bathe their cats or for advice on how often it has to be done. Usually these are indoor cats as well so it’s not like they are getting covered in mud and engine oil.

I spend enough time negotiating over bathing the kids without bringing cats into the mix!

One of my past cats was quite happy sitting on the edge of the bath with his tail and/or one paw dangling in the water. I think if I'd tried to bathe him though, it would have ended in my flaying.

A previous cat we had accidentally fell in when my very young dd was having a bubble bath, lifted him out didn't think for one moment he'd get back in....... must have enjoyed the bubbles 🐱

Girlcat has asked me to point out that she has a bath at least 4 times a day, with the odd wash in between. Just because it doesn't involve soap and water but saliva and her tongue doesn't make it any less of a bath.

I understand collars if cats are going out, but not the rest of it.

My sister’s dog used to turn himself into a rock if she put any clothes on him & he weighed about as much as the average 10-year-old so it wasn’t difficult.

We seem to have developed a large patch of formless black hairy mould on the bedroom carpet this morning 😲

Actually you could get it as a Christmas present for Gizmo! 😂

That cat looks thoroughly demoralised. Probably someone's going to give it a bath soon or make it eat a vegan meal or something.

If you think that cat’s got problems, this is how exhausted Kitty is after having supervised me changing the bed. The poor girl is simply flat out.
