Gizmo is an English interloper, who only came to Scotland in order to get behind my bathroom cupboard.

People in her position should be trustworthy. If the previous warden was still in post, I'd have confided in her. But she's retired, and the new one is here.

The children from the school came to the door, asking for donations for their trip to France. The children know Gizmo because he wanders up to their playground. It's not far.

They brought an array of home-baked cakes and biscuits, in exchange for cash.

So I gave them £5 and took two flapjacks.

Don't worry about gossip, (though that's easy for me to say), they will soon move onto something else, that's assuming you are being gossiped about at all. There's a couple of phrases I have got from Mumsnet:

I am sure your DC, Gizmo and Linney are helping you.

He's clearly innocent of all crimes, apart from pretending he hasn't been fed, in order to obtain additional rations. I mean - all cats do this, and I've heard that judges always disregard such foibles.

After all, the stag & hen trips never happened so why not a joint trip to Scotland instead? They could bring Ginger Thug Cat too!

@EmpressaurusKitty Yes, that was his new Halloween top and it has a hood! He let me put it on him and then started purring loads and making biscuits. I took it off him when I went to bed and now he refuses to wear it again.

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne you sound like you have built friends in your community. If like the friends you have built here, they appreciate you, then they will not judge.

Late to the party (as always) but Broon I agree with everyone else. I do understand how you feel though. My ex husband left me and I found it hard wondering what people were thinking. Fast forward to now and I just couldn't care less. Happily single for bloody ages and no plans to change that anytime soon. You sound like you're doing brilliantly.
