Odd things your cat eat...mine just ate kale.

I was having my lunch and the cat jumped on the kitchen table and before I could stop her ate a big chunk of the kale and mushroom garnish (I am vegetarian) I was having with my pasta out of my plate.

Never had a cat eat interested in veggies before...

Is that common or is she just trying to start a vegetarian cats trend?

We have one who is absolutely obsessed with green vegetables - particularly mange tout and spinach! I joke that she’d be happier if we fed her salad instead of cat food..

Ours loves lettuce and spinach. She isn't a greedy cat and has no interest in our food, aside from these salad items. She thinks nothing of hooking lettuce leaves from the salad bowl right in front of us while we're eating..😁

Sweetcorn! Ours adores it. He also eats plastic though so I wouldn't say he's that reliable for healthy foods 🤣

Our cat likes green beans and peas. She likes eating grass in the garden so I guess it makes sense lol

My cat growing up would sell her soul for a piece of watermelon. It was very amusing.

DH' and my first cat absolutely LOVED coffee grounds - if we spilt a few while making coffee, he was in there like a shot to lick them up.

Garlic and coriander naan bread! We have to be really careful when it's served, because she'll smell it from the other side of the house, then be on the table and whip it off your plate in the blink of an eye.

The same cat is also partial to lemon juice, despite the internet assuring me that cats hate lemon.

She may have malfunctioned.

Mine loves coffee and toast crumbs. In particular, cappuccino. I don't actually let him drink it, but he has a sniff and a lick of the foam off the top and licks the toast crumbs off of the plate. Breakfast of Kings, apparently. Also likes to lick crisps.

He doesn't eat anything else 'human' (won't touch a prawn, piece of salmon, chicken etc)

How strange that you posted this as I wrote a be of mine likes hummus 🤣

We used to have a cat who was partial to vanilla red bush too.

Current cat steals lettuce and spinach leaves out of the colander whilst it's draining. He loves it. Other current cat has been known to eat peas. And another previous cat would eat carrot and parsnip soup.

Oh yes. Mine loves plastic. Daren't leave a cellophane wrapped gift anywhere unattended, otherwise it will end up given to the recipient with chew marks and slobber on it.

A childhood cat liked peas, garibaldi biscuits, and wine – we had to be really careful that any wine glasses were cleaned immediately.

She was also utterly clueless when it came to things like mice, and the other cat we had at the time gave her 'you call yourself a cat!?' looks on a regular basis.

Mine likes crisps, particularly pringles! She also loves eating ribbon, which she then vomits back up, so we have to be very careful at birthdays and Christmas!

One of mine likes chips drowned in salt n vinegar but is a wee bugger for maltesers to the point can't have them in the house. Know another wee furry horror sweetie who loves babybel n yoghurt not always in the one dish right enough

Your mushrooms and kale must have had a lovely savoury, creamy flavour. My cat loves creamy things. Yoghurt especially.
All my cats always loved marmite, but I don't think that's too weird.
One of mine is obsessed with chewing plastic bags and plastic packaging. He also adores furiously licking clean towels.

Raw savoy cabbage. If he heard it being chopped up there would be carnage until you gave him a bit!

I have one that's partial to Broccoli. Thankfully the other two seem to have normal tastes in food!
