Odd things your cat eat...mine just ate kale.

I was having my lunch and the cat jumped on the kitchen table and before I could stop her ate a big chunk of the kale and mushroom garnish (I am vegetarian) I was having with my pasta out of my plate.

Never had a cat eat interested in veggies before...

Is that common or is she just trying to start a vegetarian cats trend?

Previous cat loved Chicken Tikka Masala.

Current cat thought human food was poison - till we got a dog who got lots of treats - now he's as bad at begging as the dog. Cheese and meat though - no veg.

Friend's cat goes mad for broccoli.

Greek yoghurt and Parmesan ( not together!)

Cake and cardboard.

Previous cat loved dry porridge oats and tortilla wraps.

An old cat of ours loved melon rinds. He would steal them from the plate and drag them away to chew.
Melons were the favourite, but he loved the peel of any squash-like fruit or veg - pumpkins, butternut and so on.

One of mine loves plastic too.

Like thisA cactus! It was a single stem, with a 'head' on it, with spikes & all. I noticed one day the head was gone.

Wasn't until I caught the furry bandit red handed I realised it had eaten it. Silly cat!

Mayonnaise- but not low fat she didn't like that 😂
Also popcorn , prawn crackers, wotsits, poppadoms

Would turn her nose up as fresh chicken

I had one who loved fruit flavored yogurt. She occasionally got the plastic pot stuck on her head while licking it out.

We have 5 cats. One loves sweetcorn and will even chew the discarded cobs if we have corn on the cob. Another loves sugar puffs, but not with milk on and yes, we have a plastic chewer, but only the crinkly type of plastic. We also have a cat who thinks she's a goat - she will eat anything that is vaguely connected to food. Cats are weird. This is why we love them 😁

Mine has veg at the table every night..
When his db was still alive they often shared a plate of beans!

Not a cat (my childhood cats were definite carnivores, the murderous wee pricks) but my sister's dog is OBSESSED with tomatoes and salad generally. To the extent I was staying there recently and got up in the night to find him sat on the kitchen table eating raw tomatoes from the veg bowl. Weirdo 😅

So it sounds like a few of these have onion and garlic in - I'm forever whipping our Dcat away from anything containing these as I thought they'd make him ill? Is this not the case? If not, I think the little bugger is probably partial to most components of a Chinese takeaway...he certainly gets vocal when one of those arrives!!!

Ginger boy loves sweetcorn’s actually cries for it.
Mini black panther can hear a block of cheese being opened from anywhere in the house, he was eating bits of chips and cheese tonight at dinner time.
The other two aren’t so keen on human food unless it’s ham.

One of mine has pica so has eaten/tried to eat many questionable things. DP went into the bathroom recently and found her munching on a BATH BOMB. He shoved the whole basket in the cupboard and turned around to find her licking up the crumbs

Raspberries and avocados...bloody cat sits at my feet, yowling at me until I share with her. Daft beastie but very cute.

Our previous cat absolutely loved cheese, she would go wild for it. One time we’d been to a local cheesemonger and amongst the haul was a very fancy goats cheese - she spat that out with a look on her face like I had tried to poison her. No taste. Per the photo below, she was a big fan of scrambled eggs too. I miss her so much.

Current boy we adopted from CP and was a stray kitten found living in a lady’s shed. He’ll give anything a go and is partial to Parmesan, gravy, and a cheese sauce. We need to watch what we put in the green kitchen waste caddy because he’s been known to break into it. It makes a tell-tale flapping sound when he’s at it. I can’t find a photo of him in action, but here he is doing a little dance for me this morning.

Only human food Euphrasie will eat is corn on the cob. Not interested in sweetcorn off the cob. She will run at you and steal it, then shred every kernel from the cob.
