What foods does your cat unexpectedly really like?

Every time I have raspberries one of my kittens (Fynn) comes to mug me for one and he won't leave me alone until I surrender a raspberry. I did google to make sure they were safe before I gave him one, and he has just one every other day and he LOVES it!

I'm sad my cat isn't interested in human food. She's a very fussy eater. The only thing she does is go after milk that's leftover in a bowl after I've eaten cereal. It's probably because I wouldn't let her eat any of my food when she was a kitten!

We've had bread, raisins, spaghetti and red wine.

How weird - I've also got a bleach fiend. If our cleaner uses it on the bathroom floor she goes up and rolls all over it (after it's dry - I don't want her getting it on her coat and licking it off).

My cat loves a cup of tea. This was the first one she pinched. Now, we only give it her in an espresso cup to limit the quantity.

Oh and curry sauce!

My Dc loves baked beans and has been known to mildly intimidate teenagers to make sure some are left 😂. Although she mainly sticks to beans, the other day she stole a Cornish pasty and took it upstairs to enjoy on my bed 😳

Oh I remember forgetting to put a cheesecake back in the fridge, I came back to a biscuit base. The cat suffered the consequences.

I'm quite happy to find out mine isn't the only bleach fiend. Strangely she doesn't react to cat nip.

They big lad stole a Cornish pasty once. Not sure it agreed with him brilliantly but he enjoyed it!

Cat had some coconut bread crumbs yesterday and you could hear the purring in the next room. Licked his whiskers for ages.

Oh, and home made meringues. Strictly forbidden, obvs, but mine will rip open the bag and go crazy. I heard that cats can't taste sweet things, so maybe it's the egg whites or the scrunchy texture that they like.

Larry loves hula hoops. He goes bonkers for the bbq beef ones. It's so cute to watch him gently remove them from your finger tips. Hell eat wetsuits too but with less delight.

If we are on to non food items then Cat2 not only sits in any cardboard box available but crunches his way through them with enthusiasm. We think he must have some beaver in his ancestry.

Old cat used to adore fresh coffee grains. He'd hang around in case I spilled some and lick them up if I wasn't quick enough to wipe them up. Another had a thing for black olives.

Boy cat likes apple juice, belvoir strawberry juice and trifle.
Girl cat likes cheese and quiche (but hates egg!)

Mine liked mayonnaise and salad cream. Then he'd spend the night wafting his eggy farts in my face 😼

One of ours loves tea too.

Cheese.
Olive oil. She will literally lap up the oil left in a tub of olives. Weirdo. She has a nice shiny coat though! (Obvs we don't let her have too much)

Morgan liked crisps. But only if they were very fresh. She would spit them out if the packet had been open for an hour. She was also partial to sherry or red wine. ❤️

Wild salmon heated in the oven (without salt). Must be wild salmon, farmed salmon gets sniffed at and is then ignored.🤷🏻‍♀️

DH has told me about a siamese his mother had who once got into the Christmas sherry and slept through until the next morning.

Salt and vinegar pringles. He will take your hand off for one. (Thats all he is allowed). Not normal salt and vinegar though.

Anything not intended for him, that will give him the squits.

Blueberry muffins, especially the blueberries although she will happily also eat the muffin.
