Every time I have raspberries one of my kittens (Fynn) comes to mug me for one and he won't leave me alone until I surrender a raspberry. I did google to make sure they were safe before I gave him one, and he has just one every other day and he LOVES it!

My cat loves cheese, particularly blue cheese. She is also crazy for melon and I often find her cleaning up food I’ve dropped when I’m cooking. She’ll eat the meal worms I put out for the birds if they drop on the ground.

Topseyt123 · 29/04/2024 02:02

My old cat used to like egg mayonnaise.

Funny is.very handsome. I'd keep him on raspberries😻

Crisps. He’s a fiend for them. His favourite are Wotsits and Monster Munch but any type or flavour will do.

ilovesooty · 29/04/2024 02:16

Big cat isn't interested in human food.

Kitten will give anything a go except cauliflower and banana. He's particularly partial to cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, mushroom soup, chicken korma, Victoria sponge and chocolate cornflake crispies. He was also most upset when I took the Thorntons continental chocolate that he'd purloined off him.

He also eats mice and birds.

sashh · 29/04/2024 06:09

My childhood cat would jump up to take crisps out of your hand.

Current cat eats all the things cats typically like but are bad for them; milk, ham, cheese.

I don't often have milk in the house, I only buy it if I know I am having guests or making Yorkshire pudding. I have some tiny little dip bowls so she gets a small amount and she licks the bowl dry.

Her other strange thing is bleach. HO I do not give her bleach but when my carer has done something involving bleach she will not leave him alone.

Obviously he washes his hands but there is still that smell.

WonderingWanda · 29/04/2024 06:34

Cheese, especially grated.

Rhino94 · 29/04/2024 06:44

Yes obviously, that’s why I said I keep cat out the way now, there’s minimal chocolate to actually cause an issue, but would never risk it!

felinelucky · 29/04/2024 06:49

Mine go mad for oat milk and chickpeas.

Yes, it's the same with other cleaning products or adhesives with them, we've had to lock them out of rooms that have been having work done before now.

Marmite - always licking my toast

coffeeandflipflops · 29/04/2024 11:34

Cucumber, prawns and cheesecake topping- as I found out when I made a cheesecake, turned to get a cover for it, turned back and found my cat licking it.

MaryBethMayfair · 29/04/2024 11:35

One of mine goes absolutely bonkers for the icing off a Costco birthday cake.

bringonyourwreckingball · 29/04/2024 11:35

One of mine goes crazy for avocado - he will eat literally anything left unattended though. Which is unfortunate because he has digestive issues so is only supposed to eat the very expensive fresh food I buy for him

Sameratdifferenthat · 29/04/2024 11:47

Earwax.

Old family cat used to go mental for raw sprouts, would eat through the shopping bag to get to them.

ladybirdsanchez · 29/04/2024 11:54

Bread of any kind - but particularly brioche
Cooked broccoli
Any dairy inc. fruit yogurt
French dressing, mayonnaise
She will also eat insects and spiders 😖

SpringLobelia · 29/04/2024 11:55

One of ours loves watermelon. DH eats watermelon every single day for breakfast and he has to save her a piece. She will sometimes come and hook it from his plate if she considers he is being tardy.

cigarettesNalcohol · 29/04/2024 11:59

Olives - also my dad fed our cat his ear wax once... cat liked that too.

ranoutofquinoaandprosecco · 29/04/2024 12:23

Mushy peas!

BarrelOfOtters · 29/04/2024 12:25

Chicken Tikka Masala. Never ever pestered for food, but a M&S CTM and he was all over you.

Current cat looked at you like were trying to poison him with human food...till we got a puppy, who would get little titbits. Now there is two little faces looking up at you when the fridge door opens.

Caswallonthefox · 29/04/2024 18:08

We also had a cat that went nuts for elastoplast plasters and used to lick our hair if we'd been swimming.

KittyCollar · 29/04/2024 18:23

French stick

Joolsin · 29/04/2024 18:27

Porridge, Weetabix and quiche.

fieldsofbutterflies · 29/04/2024 19:03

Cucumber
Vegemite
Pesto
Stilton (but not mild cheese).

LifeOfBriony · 29/04/2024 19:23

My lovely Toby used to like lettuce. Both he and his sister used to enjoy cooked turkey and chicken. But they regarded this as a special treat, not a meal, and still expected to receive the usual amount of cat food at meal times!
