Might be infected or an allergy, poor Boycat.

I don’t fancy that squirrel’s chances much Eko ☠️ 🐿 ☠️

Wish us both luck for trying the vet again tomorrow. Nurse Neil coming round to help.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 04/05/2022 00:07

Well I'm away for a few days, but it's so lovely here I just keep thing how much Leroy would love it 😁

He's keeping an eye on DS for me though. Somebody's got to 😂

Allergictoironing · 04/05/2022 09:04

Don't THINK it's infected, had a good poke around it both last night & this morning, & so far he seems fine with no flinching or skin shivers when I move it around. Seems quite mobile as well. I think it must be a reaction to his jab, though he's not had that before.

Fluffycloudland77 · 04/05/2022 09:11

Humans can get lumps at injection sites, it goes away on its own.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 04/05/2022 09:35

Don't wish to worry you because various of our cats have had lumps appear at injection sites before and they usually go away in a week or so. My old boy Monty however got one when he was 17 which didn't go and then started to get bigger. He needed an operation to remove it, fortunately it was benign.
Just keep an eye on it, but if it hasn't gone in a frw weeks, or it continues to get bigger I'd ask your vet for their advice.

Allergictoironing · 04/05/2022 09:43

I think I'll do that, just keep an eye on it & see what it does for the next few days. As I said, he's not troubled by it and it's bang on the injection site.

Boycat is making the most of me continuously stroking him to check it! Grin

MrOllivander · 04/05/2022 13:41

My friend told me to get some dried egg white powder for ollies weight gain but that "he might not like it"

YetAnotherSpartacus · 04/05/2022 13:45

OMG - those eyes are getting bigger, surely?

Neither of mine will touch any human food! A guest brought home a spit-roasted chicken the other week and they totally and utterly failed to react.

LostCats · 04/05/2022 13:48

Ahh!!! Look at that face!!! 💙

MrOllivander · 04/05/2022 13:48

He's already tried to steal my cheese sandwich
The bloke has learned fast to never ever put your plate down or a little paw appears to swipe anything that might be tasty

YetAnotherSpartacus · 04/05/2022 13:49

It's the strategic morsel on the chin that gets me.

MrOllivander · 04/05/2022 13:50

He says he's saving that for later Grin

YesItsMeIDontCare · 04/05/2022 14:20

Ollie's not the tidiest of eaters is he 😂 He does look very adorable though.

MrOllivander · 04/05/2022 14:31

If I brought a roast chicken home I would have Ollie hanging off my leg and Paws sniffing it from half a mile away Grin
I was once chopping chicken (for myself) and turned round as I felt eyes on me, to see a very polite Paws sat with a face of "is that for me yet?"

YetAnotherSpartacus · 04/05/2022 14:33

Mine spat it out :(

Fluffycloudland77 · 04/05/2022 16:49

@YesItsMeIDontCare I used to do that when Asbo was alive “Oh Bertie would LOVE this duck pond!” Dh always pointed out the ducks would be less keen.

TheLongRider · 04/05/2022 18:07

I'm taking "No mow May" seriously aka I haven't been arsed to cut the grass. Hobbes is playing crouching Tiger.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 04/05/2022 19:08

@Fluffycloudland77 theres a massive pond/mini lake here. I reckon Leroy would try a heron... 😂

Fluffycloudland77 · 04/05/2022 19:10

Crouching tiger, hidden Hobbes.

Supersimkin2 · 04/05/2022 19:55

Capn’s come back: having peed on one vet yesterday, today refused to supply a urine sample for the locum.

£87.

Fluffycloudland77 · 04/05/2022 21:56

They should pay you for all the continuous professional development training he supplies.

Supersimkin2 · 04/05/2022 22:09

That’s right Fluffy, I knew you’d understand.

How is DH? Any sign of a schedule yet for recovery or is it a watchful waiting scenario? Must be annoying but also a relief that’s he’s still being monitored.

MrOllivander · 05/05/2022 10:28

Ollie came into the bedroom this morning and was horrified
"Why is HE still here?" And then flounced off outside

Fluffycloudland77 · 05/05/2022 13:48

Dh is still in hospital.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 05/05/2022 14:35

Oh, Fluffy that must be so difficult.

Is he improving?
