Only when he came in for a sit down at 6pm did the pigeons feel confident to have lunch in the birdbath. He has the soul of a hero.

Matt is in the doghouse for catching a bird, and taking it under my bed. Well, I say catching it. He's so fat and lazy it might well have committed suicide. I'm about to grit my teeth and go up to retrieve the body. Just I want on a day when I'm feeling under the weather anyway.

Capn is better and has menaced a pigeon! He has eaten 1.5 Sheba trays!

I was up till 2am clearing up his flamboyant stomach upset. Swearing. Felt guilty. He felt bad about missing the tray. We had a cuddle and a little grooming session. Slept well-ish.

Fucking vet cancelled AGAIN cos Covid AGAIN.

Then nurse said but we’re so worried about him, he might not make it thru the weekend, it’s a bank holiday don’t you know. So I battled with them for an appt but no go.

The convo concluded with me declaring in freezing tones ‘I hope your Easter is better than ours will be’ and replacing the receiver.

Fuckers. Trouble is I’ve paid till 2023 so getting another vet is no joke, but I’ll investigate. In the meantime we’ve got 4 days to totter through.

Eating and menacing pigeons must mean he feels better. Cats, eh. They just like to worry us.
