He’s lush.

Capn’s relaxed.

I’ve just seen the gorgeous pix of Socks. Your nerves, Paper, feel for you. Oof. An early night beckons (bookended by cuddlers).

Socks didn't stray far yesterday and took herself of to bed early. Lesson learned hopefully. I'd love to know where she was - if only they could talk.
Unfortunately I had another seizure last night, the first since December, likely because of the stress and tiredness. Sad

@YesItsMeIDontCare when Snorgs insurance premium reaches £150
A month she will have her own bank account as well!

Toddlerteaplease · 30/03/2022 12:39

As I will have to self insure her.

Supersimkin2 · 30/03/2022 13:03

Oh Paper, rest up.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 30/03/2022 13:12

@Papergirl1968 - tiredness and stress are two of the causes of my seizures so I can believe that. Plenty of rest today, gentle tomorrow and make sure you let your doctor know so your medical records are up to date.

(((hugs))) 💐

Sound of smashing crockery from next door, Capn runs in. Coincidence, obv.

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/03/2022 16:56

He was startled by the noise and ran home.

Papergirl1968 · 30/03/2022 19:27

Thanks, Lana and Yes. And the bloody dog has attacked another dog this morning so the stress continues. I'm waiting to hear how other dog is - because of data protection the vets could only tell it had been allowed home.

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/03/2022 19:43

Oh balls. Is she ok?

Papergirl1968 · 30/03/2022 19:57

My dog? Yes, she's fine. She's a staffie cross so we couldn't get her jaws open to let the other poor thing go.

Papergirl1968 · 30/03/2022 19:59

How is Dcat2, Defiantly?

Anotherdayanothernight · 30/03/2022 20:02

Caesar is chilling in my backpack, very tired...

Years ago, my DS took in a rescue staffie, who then attacked one of her patterdales. It was awful to witness, but I remember she blocked the staffie's nose so that it couldn't breathe and it then released the other dog. Not suggesting you put yourself in danger, I couldn't believe DS did, but she said it was the only thing to do in order to save her patterdale.

Papergirl1968 · 30/03/2022 21:14

I thought of that later, Want. Better than the other option I've heard which is to shove something up their backside!
She's fine with most dogs, it's just the odd one. It worries me that one day she might attack one of the cats although to be fair it's Matt who usually beats the dog and Socks up. I always separate them when I go out though.

Caesar is a beaut!
Thank you, he is a spoilt brat but we love him !
Supersimkin2 · 30/03/2022 21:40

Choke chain, Paper - pull it like a squeeze till dog lets go. Not cruel, works. Me brought up with bull terriers. What a day for you.

Defiantly41 · 30/03/2022 23:55

@Papergirl1968 , oh you are having a bit of a day! Hope things improve for you.

DCat2 has improved a bit, thanks for asking. I've had antibiotics and liquid painkillers/anti-inflammatory things to squirt in her mouth and we're seeing the vet again tomorrow as she was worried about her weight loss. She had lost 0.4kg and was only 2.8kg to start. However she has looked expectantly at me every time I opened the fridge today and has eaten 2 of the tiny sachets of food, a good sized slice of roast chicken and some dreamies which is an improvement on the previous few days.

Will update tomorrow

Fluffycloudland77 · 31/03/2022 07:12

She should perk up soon @Defiantly41, the Bengal was a veteran of infections and always made up the deficit. It’s best to go to the vet on the first day of not eating even though you feel like you have hypochondria by proxy. I missed an abscess once because the only sign was being hot one day and I didn’t connect the dots so it burst all over his little head. He’d rub the scab on my bare legs in the morning while it was healing

I think I’d get some sort of lock on the door you keep the cats behind @Papergirl1968, just in case.

Supersimkin2 · 31/03/2022 08:35

I did a fashionable sharing platter for friends who popped round last night. Olives, chorizo, nuts, houmous and carrots.

One friend is nutritionist so it was all clean eating and extra healthy. Made extra effort. Sprayed parsley everywhere so it looked like Instagram.

A fat paw shot out for the chorizo. Laffed oh-so playfully, removed Capn with a sunny hostess smile, refreshed drinks. When I came back there were pawmarks in the houmous and parsley on the cat’s head.

They left. Me and Capn watched a film while I chopped up the chorizo with scissors for him cos of his bad teeth.

Allergictoironing · 31/03/2022 08:46

Look on the plus sides - you get an evening in with nice nibbles without having to share & be polite to guests, and Cap'n seems to have his appetite back! Grin

I have stinky cold. Just waiting for the timer on one of my precious LFTs to go off before calling in sick. Really doubt it's the Covids, but not safe to drive when I'm sneezing, coughing and have low O2 sats due to blocked nose. Cats will be pleased.

As always Super. Beautiful descriptions of the shenanigans of Cap'n Grin.
