I'll start;

When I get a cat it won't climb on the kitchen surfaces.

All these cats in beds! DH won't let ours in the bed at night, fair enough as he keeps us both awake with his happy purring!

God I love it when mine come in bed with me

Rockingarmadeus- I'm sorry that you lost your bed. But sometimes, defeat is inevitable. You could be the best looking, most charismatic couple in the world. Better looking that George and amala, more powerful than will n Kate, but the fact is , that cat belongs on the bed. It's his bed. Ordained. He is a kind ruler that allows you, too, to occupy HIS space.

I totally understand the rules now and where I am in this hierarchy, He goes where he pleases and does allow me a place in the bed so long as I’m careful not to disturb him.

We had to remove a ceiling panel yesterday due to a leak...before DH had a chance to replace.....

Well, to be fair to your cat, I'd say that's not a kitchen surface. The fault here is obviously your own.

Clearly, you need to be more specific when pleading with your kitty overlord.

DH will never allow the cat in the front room. The moment he steps out of the door for literally 20 seconds, she's in there. Then she has to skulk out when he comes back in. Every time.

I said she wouldn't be allowed to sleep upstairs at night. That lasted for one night.

Go in the office. Climb on the laundry... 😂

Get in my way. Last night the nausea hit bad. I'm Bed bound (not lazy) so the carer left a bowl for me. Darn kitten (who only arrived last week) jumped in.

My sister had a cat long before I did. She always seemed to be anxious about it, especially leaving it in the cattery when she went on holiday. I thought she was being a bit ridiculous to be honest.

Fast forward a few years and I am now worse than she was, haha! I own two extremely spoiled rescue cats. One went missing for 2 weeks and I was beside myself, so they now have gps trackers. I have every kind of cat tech know to man to help me keep an eye on them Basically I am a helicopter cat parent! Oh and I also now keep trips away to a minimum because the cats and I hate being apart from each other!

@TiddyTidTwo interesting ceiling there. Looks old. Always interesting to maintain an old building. (OK, not the point of the thread, but...)

It sleeps there every bloody night and often does naps there during daytime too and I just find it adorable.

DH ("we aren't getting a cat, they're annoying and whiny and get fur everywhere") buys the cats M and S cooked meat like rare roast beef and free range chicken slices and eats Asda ham himself...he would deny this if asked about it

Oh and whenever I come in the room and he is hugging a cat and kissing it's head, he actually isn't kissing it, he is just checking for fleas, you understand...

Oh the ceiling one just reminded of a previous cat. The day I moved into a new (to me) house, she scampered up the chimney. That was fun. Also when I had some floorboards replaced I realised I hadn't seen her for a while. Sitting quietly, I heard a pathetic miawing. Yep she had jumped in when the carpenter wasn't looking. He came back at about 9pm to let her out though. He was very handsome.

We decided the cat wouldn't go on the bed and that DH would sit in the leather chair to avoid him sitting/sleeping near cat hair as he's mildly allergic.
Guess what?
