Oh dear :(

NotMyCat · 27/11/2021 09:50

He's just not himself. He's been for a wee, turned down ham Confused and had a drink and is just sat there like "I dunno what to do mama"
My boss is letting me finish and he's at my own vets at 11.30

Paws stayed all night

SpookyScarySkeletons · 27/11/2021 09:52

Oh no @NotMyCat I really hope he perks up! Betsy was sick a few times earlier this week and I was a bit worried but then the last pile (ugh) had a huge hairball in so I'm presuming it was that! Fingers crossed it's something simple for poor Ollie.

Ivy has had an anti inflammatory injection. Back Monday for sedation and investigation but I'm pretty sure it's an abscess.

I'm just going to keep her inside over the weekend (not difficult today as she hates snow) and keep bathing with the salt water. Can't even imagine how sore it is for her.

NotMyCat · 27/11/2021 09:55

I think I'm so worried because of the triaditis he had before. He's asleep now but I would rather get him in to my own vet this morning as they know him and it's cheaper! OOH bill £250...

YetAnotherSpartacus · 27/11/2021 10:05

I hope that Ivy improves over the weekend.

And yes, I was wondering about a return of triaditis. :(

NotMyCat · 27/11/2021 10:12

I need to get him sorted as my boss whilst lovely, won't let me also take Monday off! He's not dehydrated which was the main thing last time

Supersimkin2 · 27/11/2021 11:12

Good luck to you both - get cuddly with them on the sofa and bed down for the duration.

coastergirl · 27/11/2021 11:18

Ah I'm sorry that Ollie and Ivy aren't feeling well. Hope both pick up soon.

SpookyScarySkeletons · 27/11/2021 11:22

She is sulking with me because I wiped her bum.... so she's bedding down on littlest DD now.

That is not a happy Ivy face.

Been to my own vet (the one who treated him for triaditis)
She's stumped, said nothing like he was with that, tummy soft and not sore, bladder empty, no temp... she said it might be v v early or it could be something else. Steroid jab to reduce any gut inflammation and he's back tomorrow at 2.45

YetAnotherSpartacus · 27/11/2021 11:39

It's a typical Ollie illness. Let's hope it passes soon Flowers

NotMyCat · 27/11/2021 11:47

Vet "oh OLLIE. I thought I hadn't seen him for a while" Hmm

Papergirl1968 · 27/11/2021 12:11

Oh dear, poor Ollie and poor Ivy (bizarrely I had the Christmas carol The Holly and the Ivy come into my head as I typed that!).I
Hope they feel better soon.
So glad Paws stayed.

Haha I hadn't realised that until you said!
AlfonsoTheUnrepentant · 27/11/2021 12:32

Poor Ollie and Ivy.

Fluffycloudland77 · 27/11/2021 12:41

Your off Ivys Christmas card list now.

SpookyScarySkeletons · 27/11/2021 12:49

@Fluffycloudland77

Your off Ivys Christmas card list now.
I know ☹️ I've just ordered her and Betsys Christmas presents though so maybe she will like me by Christmas Day??

(It's a lovely handmade treat bag each with a tin of gourmet cat food, treats, meaty sticks, a catnip cushion and a catnip ball if anyone is interested.... bought from Yorkshire Cat Rescue and all proceeds go to their kitties)

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 27/11/2021 15:36

Hope all is going well with Olly and Ivy and they both pick up quickly.
Meanwhile at chez Grumpy I can't anywhere to sit in the living room...

They've kindly left you the floor, Grumpy. Be grateful now! [Grin]

YesItsMeIDontCare · 27/11/2021 16:57

Sending gentle noseboops• to Ollie & Ivy, I hope they're feeling better soon xx.

nettie434 · 28/11/2021 01:09

Where is the Dreamie emoji when you need it? Sending lots of 'get better' wishes to Ollie and Ivy and Flowers for you both Notmycat and SpookyScarySkeletons.

Hope it wasn't too uncomfortable on the floor, Grumpy. I did look to see if TC had managed to sneak in too.

NotMyCat · 28/11/2021 11:37

Is that hot milk you're drinking? I feel better if you give me that HmmGrin
He's still quieter than usual but he shouted at me this morning and has eaten

Ah that's good @NotMyCat, bless he's so gorgeous.

Ivy has apparently forgiven me for the bum wiping and came for some snuggles and kneading on me earlier.

SpookyScarySkeletons · 28/11/2021 19:04

How did it go back at the vets today @NotMyCat?

NotMyCat · 28/11/2021 20:00

@SpookyScarySkeletons

How did it go back at the vets today *@NotMyCat*?
We didn't make it! I set off and filtered into the motorway to hit alrighty traffic and ended up having to go north not south, and back down an A road. 1hr 15 mins to get back home with a v cross cat
