She’s watching cat tv, it’s squirrels tonight, while I do my CPD course. We’ve gone over “they aren’t hiding behind the iPad” a couple of times.

Paw paws has accepted a head rub again while I dispense food
He went over to ollies bed and Ollie bustled over to check he wasn't thinking about getting in it Grin

Paws looking for bed? The sweetness.

Here’s Capn assessing his new sheepskin, in modish sage tones.

Looks comfy. Is that a chicken hiding in the background.

bethabean · 22/10/2021 21:07

Kiwi is becoming more comfortable with cuddles now🥰

Look at those itty-bitty-toesie-beans! 🥰

NotMyCat · 24/10/2021 09:58

Good MORNING human. Is there chicken?

Defiantly41 · 24/10/2021 16:51

I am in favour today:
Cooked a chicken for human lunch, plenty left for kitties
They have been allowed out for the first time since we moved house last month, no cat flap so I am playing door concierge

Defiantly41 · 26/10/2021 16:12

Is everyone ok? It's awful quiet ...

Justonedayatatime11 · 26/10/2021 16:16

Just chilling in a patch of sunshine whilst Charlie tried to make his great escape...

Got back from work. Leroy was so delighted to have me back he bit both my ankles. Nice.
He's had a walk, a brush, Dreamies and a cuddle, and has now settled down in his box on the ottoman with a contented purr.
I might have a nap 😁

Allergictoironing · 26/10/2021 17:56

Very busy at work, so I'm just crawling home & collapsing in front of the TV - usually giving Boycat the obligatory cuddles at the same time.

BUT - got senior management approval to drop down to 4 days a week, starting this week Grin! So not only may I have more energy, but my poor neglected little kitties get to follow me about the house more demanding attention.

coastergirl · 26/10/2021 18:44

I love that photo of Charlie.

We're ok here, busy with half term. Hope everyone is ok.

nettie434 · 26/10/2021 18:53

Great Charlie photo, Just. He is so photogenic. I love the way that it looks as if there is someone else planning on making an escape too if Charlie does get the door open Grin

TheLongRider · 26/10/2021 19:20

It turns out that Nemo is an excellent rat catcher. He's the smallest cat in the house but over the last 10 days he's brought home four rats all neatly killed and placed carefully under the swing set.

Leroy bit you out of sheer love, Yes.

Those are lovely pics, Just and Coaster. And well done little Nero!
I've had a rubbish few days. Two seizures including one where I completely blacked out, so I let work know as a courtesy in case something happened there, and got a phone call shortly afterwards saying my contract was being terminated.
I just burst into tears (and I am not a crier). Then I had an email saying they were putting me on statutory sick pay, and that if I didn't agree to go off sick they'd consider suspending me, but that they weren't terminating my contract - I suspect some hasty googling had shown they would be in breach of disability discrimination laws. This is the NHS for goodness sake!
I said I didn't want to go off sick and asked for a meeting about reasonable adjustments they could make, and they've agreed I can go back to work tomorrow, and sent a few ideas about reasonable adjustments for me to consider - eg not being alone in the building, pressing the alarm if I feel ill. There is almost always a doctor in the building - it's probably safer for me to be there than it is at home!

Fluffycloudland77 · 26/10/2021 21:48

Jesus that’s harsh. I wish they’d emailed that to you! Are you in a union?

Fluffycloudland77 · 26/10/2021 21:49

Utter bastards.

Papergirl1968 · 26/10/2021 22:15

I wish they'd emailed it to me as well instead of a phone call!
Not in a union, sadly.

Supersimkin2 · 26/10/2021 23:04

Harsh, harsh, harsh and prob illegal. Call Acas helpline, as good as any union rep. Free 0300 123 1100

Fluffycloudland77 · 26/10/2021 23:08

Switch your voice Mail off. They either have to see you in person with a witness or write it down.

coastergirl · 26/10/2021 23:12

@Papergirl1968 that sounds awful. You are well within your rights to ask for reasonable adjustments. Good luck.
