My old boy Mr Cooper. He's about 17, and he had to have an eye out in August, though, after it became infected when another cat scratched him.

Gorgeous boy @Lynne1Cat

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/10/2021 21:24

Blimey. How does he manage with just one eye?

Supersimkin2 · 19/10/2021 21:36

If you can scrape up £30 at this time of year, a) well done b) do a massive catfood shop at Aldi with free delivery. Think of the bliss of months of not carrying it...and their £1.35 cat litter is excellent.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 19/10/2021 21:40

Hello MrCooper! You have the same expression as my dearly departed Curry. He was such a character - evil temper but he knew exactly when to role out the cuteness overload 😁

Supersimkin2 · 19/10/2021 21:41

Sorry Paper, I'm talking krap. Aldi only deliver gin.

Who knew Blush

Supersimkin2 · 19/10/2021 21:43

ooh lovely Mr Cooper! So magnificent of mien and dignified of bearing! He looks cuddly too.

Papergirl1968 · 19/10/2021 21:56

Thanks, folks.
I use Aldi cat litter, Lana. Well, not me personally, the cats obviously.
I may have to get one of those tartan shopping trollies, beloved of old ladies. Grin

My friends cat is completely blind (RTC) He left him on the balcony which is secured for all of 5 mins and came back to find he had killed a pigeon. I mean... how?!
Justonedayatatime11 · 19/10/2021 22:07

@Fluffycloudland77 how would pud feel about a nice Bengal girl for company? Grin

She would say no thank you. She doesn’t do company.

Just, that is a beautiful cat!

I'm reading but work is completely filling my brain at the moment. Some very tricky situations ongoing 😢

Here's a photo of sleepy Walter

It doesn't seem to worry them at all. One of mine lost an eye in an accident when he was about 5 or 6. He lved a very active life, (for example continuing to jump down from our upstairs balcony), until he died at 17.

DBro & DSil have a rescue that a) only has one eye and b) luxating patellas on both sides. Indoor only, but doesn't stop her being a menace on high furniture etc.

One of their previous cats (Burmese) was almost completely blind for her last few years. As long as you didn't move the furniture around, she was fine (though no mountaineering from her!)

Oy.

Shame. She's gorgeous!

Is she yours yet Just?

And is she full Bengal?

Justonedayatatime11 · 20/10/2021 11:33

Yes and yes @YetAnotherSpartacus. I loves her to bits but she's a sod. Needy, demanding and throws a strop if she doesn't get her own way!

YetAnotherSpartacus · 20/10/2021 11:38

She is very, very pretty :)

Justonedayatatime11 · 20/10/2021 11:40

She is. She's lovely really, she just likes things done and certain way and in a timely manner, else she throws a strop and 'forgets' how to use her litter tray Hmm. She's not overly keen on the other cats and they're mostly terrified of her Grin

YetAnotherSpartacus · 20/10/2021 11:45

I wonder if she really needs to be an only cat?

Justonedayatatime11 · 20/10/2021 12:07

@YetAnotherSpartacus the thought has crossed my mind. However, she's been through so much in her very short life that I'm reluctant to put any more on her. She's very happy and loves a lap and a fuss. Fortunately she doesn't have to have any contact with the others unless she opts to go out into the garden at the same time.

Fluffycloudland77 · 20/10/2021 12:12

Otoh she might like being an only cat with a human all to herself.

Bengals aren’t known for liking other cats.

bethabean · 20/10/2021 15:14

Oh she’s beautiful.

Supersimkin2 · 20/10/2021 16:44

OAP trolleys are superb. I borrow my neighbour's. Worth false teeth and beige Dannimac, every time.

They don't have to be tartan, Paper. That is taking retro irony a step too far.
