Oh papergirl1968, I am so sorry. Talk about unsupportive! Supersimkin's suggestion of contacting ACAS sounds sensible.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 27/10/2021 10:35

Utter bastards

Exactly. Flowers

YesItsMeIDontCare · 27/10/2021 11:54

Sending love @Papergirl1968.

Do check out gov.uk for the laws surrounding this. If you can quote the government website they might listen.

ACAS are great, but tend to be a bit vague. Probably because of the multitude of ways things can be interpreted and not wanting to get their asses kicked for giving false or misleading advice!

💐

Supersimkin2 · 27/10/2021 12:23

Seconding Fluffy - don’t talk to them at all without a witness. Nothing happens on the phone.

Supersimkin2 · 27/10/2021 12:29

Acas website also has legal heft. The point about interpretation is dead right Yes - it means ‘what would the judge think’ ie it should scare ghastly little employers like yours Paper.

You need support Paper - sister?

NotMyCat · 27/10/2021 12:52

It honestly doesn't surprise me (NHS) after being dismissed after a decade by them
Union all the bloody way
Ollie is asleep, paws is prancing about exploring

YetAnotherSpartacus · 27/10/2021 12:56

t honestly doesn't surprise me (NHS) after being dismissed after a decade by them

I remember that. I was so angry for you at the time.

Fluffycloudland77 · 27/10/2021 18:54

Puddys salmon oil ran out and she’s not prancing about like a kitten anymore and the prrp noise has stopped.

The new bottles coming Monday. I think 400ml should last a year? If 100ml lasted 3 months. It doesn’t matter if it runs out sooner but the Scots gene demands value.

She’s got a jingly ball coming too. Asbo would use a raw new potato as a toy but Puddy is a lady. “There’s a potato on the floor” “It’s the cats”

Papergirl1968 · 27/10/2021 21:52

Thank you for all the support, you lovely cat people. Everyone at work was really nice. They've been told to keep checking on me, and given guidance about what to do if I keel over.
The manager admitted she'd spoken to someone who works in HR, which must be the point at which she hastily backtracked. She hugged me - that was awkward!
I so wish I had a copy of her saying she was going to terminate my contract, even on voicemail if not in a letter, but sadly it was just on the phone. I do have a copy of the letter where she said she was going to put on me on sick leave though and I'll certainly be keeping that.
I remember your problems with the NHS too, NotMyCat.

NotMyCat · 28/10/2021 11:53

@Fluffycloudland77 I'm glad she likes the salmon oil

Paws is pretending not to be interested in the happy kitty blanket but he's just spent ten minutes kicking it with his back legs and sucking on it

Kiwi looking cute to try and hide the fact he destroyed the stairs last night!

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/10/2021 16:07

Well obviously Kiwi would never be naughty. It must’ve been an intruder.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 28/10/2021 16:46

She did not! That is not the face of a stair destroyer!

You've got ghosts.

NotMyCat · 28/10/2021 17:21

I'm building shelving for storage in the spare cat room
Paws is mooching about in there, I'm waiting for the crash...

bethabean · 28/10/2021 18:54

Lovely cat people!
Does anyone have any idea why my kitten would be lying in his litter tray doing nothing? It's only happened maybe 4 times but I'm worried something is wrong!

TheLongRider · 28/10/2021 19:07

Some cats like sleeping in their litter tray. If he's straining to go to the loo then you've got a problem.

OP posts:
bethabean · 28/10/2021 19:11

Thank you. He doesn't seem to be straining or having any problems so hopefully he's just seeing it as a safe spot or sleepy spot.

I will keep an eye on it Smile

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/10/2021 08:12

Sometimes it’s stress, sometimes it’s just them being cats.

Well I’m in the dog house for getting a lump of poo off her bum. I got it off and used damp microfibre to get her clean. It was scenes & she’s just cleaned the wet fur up in a very passive aggressive way if you ask me.

nettie434 · 29/10/2021 09:12

What would have happened if Mr Fluffy had tried to clean her? Don't say he was trying to maintain his favoured status by avoiding the problem?

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/10/2021 10:12

Dh doesn’t do cat poo. He’ll do her tray if I’m out but actually wiping poo off her bum would make him retch. It’s her first cling on situation since she got here.

I’m the favourite now I get tummy access and everything.

Supersimkin2 · 29/10/2021 11:21

Tummy access ya yay - partaaay on Fluffy.

Worth a clagnut. Capn gets his arse tackled by the vet.

NotMyCat · 29/10/2021 12:20

Ollie after I refused to let him out in the rain and dark at midnight last night
I don't know where he thought he was going but it wasn't happening!

TheLongRider · 29/10/2021 12:31

Ollie is the epitome of huffy martyrdom!

"Well fine then! Stop me from having fun then! I don't get to do anything nice around here! Everyone else's hoomans let them out after midnight! Your not me real Mum anyway!!!"

He didn't fool me with his purring away Grin
After the police had a load of fireworks launched at them, he was very firmly locked in

YetAnotherSpartacus · 29/10/2021 12:43

I'm still remembering the firework pitched through your window NMC!
