@Grumpyoldpersonwithcats no my mom has no cats 😱😱😱 she’d quite like one I think but she’s 92 and not particularly steady on her feet so it’s not practical really.

It was bloody lovely. Lightly battered chips are a Black Country specialty and have to be eaten to be appreciated 😋

I might have mentioned this before, but my mum was born and bred in Wednesfield so I'm familiar with Black Country delights having regularly visited aunts and uncles during my childhood.

I have a raw food topper which is like a powder you put on cat food for fussy eaters and it's in a packet on the worktop

I could just eat that now, Swampy, even though it is rather early for lunch! Fish and chips beats the traditional Black Country faggots and grey paes any day!

I have never had lightly battered chips. I clearly live the wrong side 😕

Tbf my mum is Black Country and she's never had them either 🤷🏼‍♀️

My local chippy does proper chips fried in beef dripping, none of your unsaturated fats here! My cat goes nuts for battered smoked fish, he wails for a piece as soon as I'm in the door from the chippy, he doesn't pester for any other human food apart from ham but we won't mention it.

Well the little buggers were fighting on my bed till gone 12, on the night I needed to be up at 5.30 to take IH to work (so I can have the car for the vets)

I did manage to go back to sleep and was woken by the smell of kitten poo at 9.30 🤢

Ooh lightly battered chips. And kittenz. What greater bounty can Earth provide.

It’s meteor shower night tonight - the Perseids are out and about with fiery red tails. Me and Mr Fiery Red Tail will be watching from bed at midnight. Should be visible all over the UK.

@Justonedayatatime11 that’s extreme abuse, you don’t realise what your taking on with bengals & they are loud but so loving.

Puddy is still under the bed. Tried to free a stuck claw and got bit. I’ve bought the calming spot on, she’s very head shy and dh thinks she’s been hit by someone but I think she’s just very timid. I don’t think her owner would have hit her.

Dh “she can’t stay under there forever”
Puddy “hold my drink, I’m going under the bed forever”.

I just cant get my head round people who would do harm to any cat

We've just got back from the vets and they were quite well behaved. Trevor has a little abccess on his neck and I felt awful I hadn't noticed it but of the two he is still reticent to be picked up and cuddled. Its probably from all the fighting and it's usually him that instigates it

Trina, of the smelly poo, has a bit of a full tummy though the vet wasn't too worried and she is being wormed which hopefully will sort her out. There were on Felix wet and Whiskas dry food and I've moved them onto Arden grange which they love. I put a bit of both down when they arrived and they took to the AG straight away, so didnt bother with anymore Whiskas

My cats are definitely not normal.

As part of my duties, I've been attending a shedload of Family Fun Days the council is running in the district, and at today's Last Chance animal rescue attended. They specialise in less domesticated pets, and along with the sheep, owl & ducks etc they brought a ferret. Naturally I spent a large amount of time this morning cuddling said ferret, who seemed to like me, though I did have to warn everyone at the training course I attended this afternoon that they may want to keep their distance!

Anyway, so I get home still reeking of male ferret, and what to my cats do? Girlcat ignored any smell at all & just followed me into the living room for her treat. Boycat did have a decent sniff at my arms (I'd stripped off directly into the washing machine by now) then carried on with a full on cuddle. They aren't normal by any means are they?

I loves her. But my god. She's so skinny and her mouth is a mess.

Have you seen your vet yet Just? Poor girl.

My two had their annual check up yesterday, minor adjustments to thyroid meds for one - I'd say we got away unscathed but for the £300 bill !

Poor baby 💕 daughter was reduced to tears when I told her and husband who claims to dislike cats was utterly disgusted. Thank you for looking after her @Justonedayatatime11 💕

I haven’t been forgiven for trying to bathe the open wound with saltwater. I’m doing a lot of grovelling while she makes up to dh.

I do use duvet covers btw, that’s a winter one we aren’t using. Except the cats using it.
