I hope the cat hand over goes well.

I'm waiting to see if my NMC is going to be collected by elderly owner today or not... I mean she's very beautiful and does this weird thing when you pick her up where she curls up like a hedgehog but I don't really have room for another.... we're about to demolish one side of the garden and have a purpose built foster house built!

Would your health permit you to run a small cattery? The one my dn uses is a set of individual rooms with fire places, lvt flooring with underfloor heating, tv’s, beds & they basically spend all day playing with cats then switching the flat screen tv on for them. I think it’s over £20 a night.

I would imagine most cats are dragged out with their paws clinging onto the door frames after a week of underfloor heating.

@Fluffycloudland77 it's definitely something I've considered. My lack of self confidence stops me I think.
NMC was indeed collected this morning, unfortunately she was NOT happy about me putting her in her carrier and has shredded my little finger from the tip and into the palm of my hand

Yes that holds me back from lots of things too.

If you’ve got any tea tree oil it takes the sting out of cat scratches almost instantly. Typical tortie behaviour.

@Justonedayatatime11 Betsy did me yesterday too :( we were having a nice little snuggle then she had a massive stress when the postman knocked on the door and took a chunk out of me!

Snorg still has all her teeth. And currently happily exploring my parents house. (I used their vet as it was cheaper)

@Fluffycloudland77 no. He's out. And she hates non Persians so probably not a great idea. I'm amazed by her confidence. She's been investigating, and is currently sitting on the sofa with us.

Ollie is also back from the vet, he's stayed at 3.4kg, had his steroid jab and a rave review of "very good" for his claw clip

I find it really odd that Ollie is the same size as Cheddar. I always thought of him as a big boy. Maybe they both have small cat syndrome.

I’ve had 3 letters in the post from the vets. The idiot sisters are due their jabs. Need to organise a time when I have someone to help me with the carriers as I can’t manage all 3 on my own.

I have to take mine on different days, as once I've got one in the carrier the other will have vanished completely somehow despite being indoor cats.

Ollie tried to vanish out the window, found it was shut and did a giant sigh

I’m hoping we can do it in one go. I’m nostalgic for when they would all fit in one carrier 💕

Ivy is going for hers tomorrow morning plus kidney blood check. She was poisoned two years ago and we almost lost her to kidney failure but she rallied and somehow the kidney results just kept dropping and dropping until they were back in normal range. We have her bloods done at annual health check now to make sure all is still ok.

14 days of being told we would have to PTS if she didn't improve. It was the worst two weeks ever.

I don't get my carriers out until a few minutes before I need them. I've learnt from experience to keep the bedroom draw shut!

@Fluffycloudland77 I can't be sure but a neighbour posted on a local fb group a week before threatening to put poison down for any cats who dug up his veg patch. I never had any proof though although I was tempted to put the £6000 vet bill through his door...

It was absolutely awful. She collapsed on the kitchen floor at 7am on a Saturday morning, I rushed her straight to the vets. One of her kidney markers should have been under 140 and it went right up to 990 at one point. They kept saying if it didn't drop we should let her go but we pushed them to keep trying with the fluids to flush the toxins out. She was completely recovered with totally normal bloods within a month. I'm so glad I kept fighting for her and didn't give up. She is my absolute favourite and my bestest 🥰
