Oh Ollie my daring, never could there be a better get well message. Thank you so much, how lovely you are. A nice roll on Mama will dry you out in time for your next snack.

On quest for oatcakes and pain pills, saw a giant bag of popcorn on offer. Ate the lot in 3 min, passed out, woke up better.

(licks lips) (nurse came this am to take bloods) (its looking up)

QueenPaw · 08/05/2021 22:38

Even paws has appeared for you (with a very stern face)

Glad you're feeling better, Lana.
Cap'n is doing a pretty good job there. If only you could train him to go to the shop with your list and your credit card. Smile

Supersimkin2 · 08/05/2021 22:56

Capn sends me off to the shop @Papergirl1968 with his list. Claims his card doesn't work. Cats can be a little bit naughty.

Paws is dictating his list firmly.

Papergirl1968 · 08/05/2021 23:02

I can well believe it, Lana.
Paws does look rather displeased. Perhaps today's menu is not up to its usual standard.

cricketmum84 · 08/05/2021 23:05

I've just seen the most gorgeous little cat advertised on one of my local rescue pages.

Unfortunately the "D"H says we have enough naughty tuxedos for now!

Her little face though!!

Can he count properly? Surely his maths skills are out?.

How are you feeling @Supersimkin2?.

Supersimkin2 · 09/05/2021 08:51

Trod on Capns tail flying to the loo in the night. It’s thumping at me now so it’s let me off the assault charge.

We’ve run out of dreamies. M and S doesn’t open till 10. He’s licking my toes, thoughtfully.

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/05/2021 08:56

Oh dear, is it a one or a two treat misdemeanour?.

NowYouListenToMeFella · 09/05/2021 09:11

Super you poor thing. Crazy that your GO won't see you. Hope you are back to normal soon. You have your nurse worn out. What a gorgeous cat.

Tom didn't come home last night. First time ever. I'm torn between waiting for him to appear and getting in the car driving around. Weather bad here last night so am surprised there was no sign.

NowYouListenToMeFella · 09/05/2021 09:11

*GP

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/05/2021 09:27

Oh I’d go and look for him.

Well, I’d send dh out to look.

cricketmum84 · 09/05/2021 10:52

@NowYouListenToMeFella worth hanging his cat bed on the line and popping his tray outside. He might have just wandered a bit too far away.

I'm sure I read that if you do that the scent can carry up to a mile away and entice them home.

NowYouListenToMeFella · 09/05/2021 11:09

Heading out now. I was awake half the night waiting for him. I lay down in bed for two minutes and have just woken up.

NowYouListenToMeFella · 09/05/2021 11:10

Too wet to hang out his bed. Litter try outside under a table.

NowYouListenToMeFella · 09/05/2021 11:20

He just appeared as I was putting on my coat. Looks like he had a far more fun Saturday night than I did.

cricketmum84 · 09/05/2021 11:23

Haha typical! Our Elvis (RIP 😢) used to be a dirty stopout. He used to let himself into our neighbours catflap and party with their cat all night.

Always turned up just as the panic was starting to set in!

Supersimkin2 · 09/05/2021 11:31

Stand in the street shaking Dreamies?

Am on PC. Capn's thrown the phone away. Says starvation is making him act irrationally, see.

The poor medic who came over was knackered. She said that GPs are still resolutely shut down and loads of Londoners have been so menaced for so long by the authorities they're too frightened to go out.

Her team's working 7 days a week and bank holidays. She was polite but her teeth were gritted.

Better go to M&S before the PC takes a hammering.

NowYouListenToMeFella · 09/05/2021 11:36

The dreamies were in the pocket ready to be shook with as much vigour as I could muster.

I'm agog at the GP situation. It's like nothing but covid matters. My GP open here (Ireland) the whole time. You poor thing. Appalling that you can't get help from the first port of call for illness.

Tom has had a big breakfast and has come up to my room all nonchalant. I'm having a lie down and this little face looking at me.

Allergictoironing · 09/05/2021 12:00

I'm not far outside London, and my GP is working perfectly well. OK so the majority of appointments are by phone and are triaged before they let anyone in, but I've had no problems in getting a call from them.

People also aren't that fussed about not going out round my way either. As a Covid Marshall equivalent in my local town until end March, my biggest problem was trying to encourage people NOT to gather in large groups outside shops. And Primarni had to put a load of security guards on for the first week they were open after lockdown, just to manage the queues outside & the numbers crowding in the shop.

Supersimkin2 · 09/05/2021 19:56

Tom really enjoyed that breakfast.

My parents refused to lend me any money to see a private doc, including theirs, so I'm finding a new GP once this flu thing is sorted. DM suggested I smoke one less cigarette a day - when I pointed out that I'd need the food bank too, she said 'That's a choice you'll have to think about.' She then enquired after Capn, but I hastily ended the conversation before she came up with another kind and helpful suggestion about cutting down on luxuries.

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/05/2021 20:18

Christ on a bike. Honestly some people.

Supersimkin2 · 10/05/2021 17:31

Capn expressed disappointment at today’s vegetarian ‘food’.

He’d barely finished a strongly worded letter when the Amazon man arrived to deliver a lifetime of happiness in a box that smells of Dreamies.
