That’s shocking, can you change dr? I’ve seen mine face to face for less than that last month!.

coastergirl · 07/05/2021 09:42

Hope you get the treatment you need @Supersimkin2. It's just not ok that people have missed vital treatment because of covid. Hope Cap'n is giving snuggles.

TheLongRider · 07/05/2021 10:11

Gallbladders are vastly overrated. I had mine removed in 2015. I can't say I've missed it since.

No treatment absolutely sucks though. That's unacceptable and I hope you do get treatment soon.

Capn very attentive, albeit confused cos no bacon, tuna, meal treats etc. On me now, slumbering after second brekker.

Fluffy, I'm making the most of bedbound to find out which GPs are open and working, rather than open and being paid a fucking fortune for watching Netflix. Just spoken to a local who told me that 3 people we know have already bolted from the GP.

Supersimkin2 · 07/05/2021 10:26

The giveaway at the GP is the recorded message saying they're too busy to speak to you that they play you for 45 minutes before cutting you off.... interrupted by the electronic voice they've forgotten to turn off saying THERE ARE 0 PERSONS IN THE QUEUE every two minutes Grin

I'm having to ask my ancient parents for a wodge of cash - private docs in London ain't cheap.

Allergictoironing · 07/05/2021 13:30

If you don't get the visit. can you haul yourself off to A&E, preferably by ambulance? Gasp down the phone regarding the unbearable pain, and play on the fact that you live alone so nobody to help you even to the loo etc.

Supersimkin2 · 07/05/2021 14:30

Normally yes - but in no universe am I going to a London A&E now, @Allergictoironing - the only treatment on offer in our local is double dose of Indian Strain, no prescription required.

Last time I went cos Mr C punched me in the face. Sniff, happy times. It's those special memories that matter so much. Grin

Sorted only 48 phone calls later. GPs are shooting themseives in the foot - the more they say a phone call or a web page replaces clinical assessment, the sooner AI replaces them.

Back in bed with crisps and popcorn. Sorry to moan.

Papergirl1968 · 07/05/2021 20:57

I'm really sorry to hear that, Lana. How are you feeling now? Flowers

Fluffycloudland77 · 07/05/2021 21:01

Your right to be concerned about the Indian variant. It’s the reason I haven’t booked a hair cut. I look like Neil from the young ones now.

Defiantly41 · 07/05/2021 21:34

So sorry to hear that @Supersimkin2 . Nurse Cap'n being suitably attentive?

Supersimkin2 · 07/05/2021 22:39

Capn’s had steak for his first supper. I had crisps. Most pleasing for all - am fine, thanks all so much.

He’s mewing his head off for second supper. He’s learnt how to slap the phone out of my hand while screaming for food, bless his little soul.

Supersimkin2 · 07/05/2021 22:45

@Fluffycloudland77 Grin I did a home haircut. If it helps, it’s so bad I can’t go to the hairdresser either.

Fluffycloudland77 · 08/05/2021 07:27

How are you feeling now?.

Supersimkin2 · 08/05/2021 08:01

Better. Armpit tickling has been requested.

I'm lucky when it comes to hair, having long straight-ish hair and a fringe. So through all of lockdown all I've had to do was trim the fringe carefully to keep it out of my eyes. Hairdresser did have to take about 3 inches off the bottom when I had it cut this week though, due to scruffy split ends etc.

Cap'n looks rather content in those pics Smile

Supersimkin2 · 08/05/2021 10:49

Good plan Allergic re fringe. I had similar but it’s gone Einstein comedy wig since lockdown. Spent more time trimming Capns armpits which we both feel was an error.

swampytiggaa · 08/05/2021 12:44

I went for the clippers at the start of lockdown. Best move ever. Run them over every few weeks when my hair starts to stick up 👍

YesItsMeIDontCare · 08/05/2021 13:02

DH has been cutting my hair 😁

@Supersimkin2 😱 Noooooo! I'm so sorry to hear you're not well 😢. Get those cuddles in from Cap'n. Sending you lots of (((hugs)))

QueenPaw · 08/05/2021 13:07

YetAnotherSpartacus · 08/05/2021 13:11

Ollie looks cross.

QueenPaw · 08/05/2021 13:19

@YetAnotherSpartacus I refused to towel dry him after the 12th visit outside Grin

YetAnotherSpartacus · 08/05/2021 13:26

Poor, cold, shivering, oppressed Ollie!

QueenPaw · 08/05/2021 13:34

He's all spiky fur Grin on my lap purring after stomping wet paws over my bed in rage

TheLongRider · 08/05/2021 16:06

Aw, the poor little hedgehog Ollie. Nemo came in twice to be rubbed down after a soaking.
