It won’t work. If we get another cat it’ll be a Bengal & it'll need room on the bed.

Unless it wakes me at 4:30 & then it’ll be introduced to the kitchen at 4:31am.

Paws has just jumped in. Bypassed the food and gone straight to bed

Ha! No it has to be a Bengal. I have to have another one and do it better so it doesn’t get run over. It’s the only way to assuage the all consuming guilt that I got it wrong & he was hurt because of me.

Apparently we’re calling her Peaches which as it’s a long way off I have time to try for a better name.

Dh heard him jump off the windowsill last night & scratch at the door today.

Thanks @Papergirl1968. I'm trying to remain optimistic but I highly doubt I'll be bringing her home. Having her teeth removed was supposed to make her better, but it seems to have made her worse. Utterly heartbroken and doing a terrible job of holding it together so as not to upset my DD too much

@Justonedayatatime11 thinking of you both and really hoping for the best.

She was admitted this morning for IV fluids and is having a feeding tube put in . It doesn't look good but I couldn't not try, although now I'm worried I'm being selfish. She has Cholangiohepatitis and possible pancreatitis, and possibly nerve pain in her head which is making her not want to eat. I feel so so guilty for putting her through all this but I kind of feel like I have to at least try? I feel like I've just abandoned her at the vets this morning and she's going to think I've just left her. I am an absolute wreck, I don't know what to do for the best and my vet said she's struggling to advise me what to do

She should feel better with appropriate painkillers & nutrition. She’ll be getting told how beautiful she is a hundred times a day by the staff.

No one has ever given up easily on someone they love.

@Justonedayatatime11 that's what Ollie had. He felt a lot better after fluids and drugs

Oh Just my heart is breaking for you and her. She was such a beautiful cat, and however many others you may have in your home none will fill a Darcy shaped hole
