@Supersimkin2 Grin it was reduced in my defence. I've just smeared the paste on his paw and he went back to sleep Hmm

Supersimkin2 · 16/02/2021 18:51

You are learning well, my child. The sacred Way of the Mystic Yellowsticker is long and hard, but offers much Joy and Inner Balance to those novitiates who persevere up The Aisle of Opportunity.

hope you got some.

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/02/2021 19:08

Waitrose probably don’t go north of Ashbourne. There’s only two in Wales because everyone eats at the chippy every night and you don’t get artisan Tartar sauce and a wedge of lemon with it either.

We actually knew a family who ate at the chip shop every night. Half disgusted, half envious.

Has Leroy tried Albacore Tuna?. You can drain the extra virgin olive oil off for him.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 16/02/2021 19:30

Albacore? I shall have a look...
He had John West's in Spring Water and licked the plate clean.

On a completely different subject (sorry) does this vaccine appointment offer look genuine? It does look a lot like DH's flu jab message, but the link looks a bit dodgy.

My GP link looks ok but the key is where it takes you..,. I got conned the other day and I worked on dot gov for 7 years

Supersimkin2 · 16/02/2021 20:23

You have to log into myGP app with details sent from your go surgery that you dhould have had for ages

Supersimkin2 · 16/02/2021 20:24

Don’t spend Leroy's tuna budget either. Or put in DOB. Like I did Grin

Allergictoironing · 16/02/2021 20:25

Looks a little - odd - to me.

a) why does it name the brand, I didn't know mine until I turned up
b) use of the word "want" seems strange
c) there are loads of reasons why you may not be able to have the jab, so why specify just one
d) as you say, the web address seems rather strange

YesItsMeIDontCare · 16/02/2021 20:59

MyGP is absolutely useless and tells me nothing at all.

Replying with WANT was exactly what DH had to do for his flu jab, so that didn't strike me as odd. Everything else about it does though!

I do have a condition which, according to the calculator, potentially bumps me up a category but I don't think mine is serious iykwim.

DS has pointed out that I lose nothing by just replying.

Leroy has absolutely no opinion on the subject whatsoever but would like a brush.

QueenPaw · 16/02/2021 21:08

@YesItsMeIDontCare same. They actually wrote to me to tell me my vitamin D was low and my dad suggested it was possibly on the low side of dead for them to write to me
If they rang me, I would think I was already on the other side
It was actually 9 Blush

YesItsMeIDontCare · 16/02/2021 21:44

I was written to about my vitamin D too Queen! It was apparently the lowest my GP had personally ever seen.

Me: How low is low?
GP: You know women in the Muslim community who wear the full veil and get no sunlight to their skin?
Me: Yeeees?
GP: Yeah, lower than that.

I now go and run around the garden in a tshirt when there is any sun out, as well as taking the supplements.

Supersimkin2 · 16/02/2021 22:01

The Tesco Vit d ‘n’ calcium pills are delicious. Crunchy!

‘On the low side of dead’ Paw, yr DF has made me laff forever GrinGrin glad levels are on the up

Supersimkin2 · 16/02/2021 22:03

Make sure you text via phone not via VoIP.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 16/02/2021 22:10

Make sure you text via phone not via what?

I did just reply to the message on my phone. I'll keep you all posted!

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/02/2021 22:18

Y’know that you can’t get vit d from sunlight Oct-March here though?. It makes me justifiably angry when I see sunbed shops saying vit d on their posters too. Sheisters the lot of them.

The under the tongue sprays are meant to be easily absorbed though.

QueenPaw · 16/02/2021 22:22

I used the spray for a month (3000 vit d plus k) and still had a level of 9 Sad
They've given up and put me on 20,000 now
Thankfully my thyroid is happy now I'm no longer on a "homeopathic" dose (as my consultant called it)

Supersimkin2 · 16/02/2021 22:23

Use the phone line not your phone internet. You prob did use a phone network automatically, don’t worry about it.

VoIP is the internet’s phone ie what is used for Skype, WhatsApp, FaceTime etc. Also how crooks send software of evil to your phone.

Supersimkin2 · 16/02/2021 22:25

That’s Excellent - high dose pills are the only thing that work IME. Don’t get fobbed off again if your levels ever get that bad.

Supersimkin2 · 16/02/2021 22:32

When Dbro went to live in the land of endless night (Scandi) his vit D went through the elegant pine floor. He had shots to bring it back up and now he just has a crappy maintenance Tesco dose like me; does the trick.

@QueenPawPaws suggest you take them anyway, can’t hurt and we both like them.

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/02/2021 22:36

Sounds like the sprays are rubbish then.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 16/02/2021 22:38

Y’know that you can’t get vit d from sunlight Oct-March here though? - I actually didn't know that, but to be honest it's too bloody cold and not enough regular sun at this time of year. We had some sun today for about half an hour. Over a 3 hour period. And it rained for some of that too!

I have now found "Messages" on the MyGP app and my invitation is genuine. Thank you everyone for your input on this 😊 I really do appreciate it.

QueenPaw · 16/02/2021 22:38

I had heard they were good but. Unless my levels were worse before Blush
My friend who runs the stables is outside all day, every day, fairly average skin tone, tans easily and loves a holiday. Bloods done and deficient Confused

QueenPaw · 17/02/2021 23:02

Peace and quiet Grin
Mama is watching beauty videos on her phone, Ollie is watching the big TV. Not sure that's the right order of things...

YesItsMeIDontCare · 17/02/2021 23:27

Is that Cat TV? Absolutely the right order of things.

Know your place.

QueenPaw · 17/02/2021 23:45

It is! He was silent and occasionally looking at me wide eyes "birdies! Inside!"
