Walter can join the boy band. Bloody noisy creature!

Supersimkin2 · 09/02/2021 13:22

How is darling Matt? So good and beautiful Grin

Papergirl1968 · 09/02/2021 13:45

Beautiful yes. Good? Hmm, well, apart from the wailing he scoffs Socks food and terrorises the dog! Grin

nettie434 · 09/02/2021 15:49

The Cap'n is looking gloriously fluffy. At least he only looks irritated by the noise. My friends have a stick vacuum cleaner. When the husband was vacuuming the hall one day (don't be too impressed - he's reasonable in terms of housework but not a paragon), I saw their cat walk past pressed against the wall as if the cleaner was a dangerous python that he needed to navigate his way around 😸

QueenPaw · 09/02/2021 16:00

@nettie434 Ollie is terrified of the hoover Grin

Supersimkin2 · 09/02/2021 16:39

@nettie434 Grin might have been angling for some comfort dreamies...

YesItsMeIDontCare · 09/02/2021 16:47

Leroy hates the hoover to the extent that hoovering is done when he's out for a walk. Which means, given that I'm the one who takes him on his walks, that I never hoover.

Bonus 😁

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/02/2021 18:38

Leroy is a little star getting you out of housework. Breeders should breed cats who won’t let you cook after 4pm.

Asbo hated the robo hoover, he had a habit of going where Sebastian was heading though.

QueenPaw · 10/02/2021 21:16

I'm really struggling with ollies howling. Any bright ideas?
If he's not sat on me, eating or asleep he's howling like its his default setting
It's basically "pet me/wanna go out/bored/I don't know but I'll yowl anyway". Telling him off doesn't work, shutting him out the room means he yowls because you've done that... it's most of the day and night except between 7pm - 10pm when he's sat on me Hmm
I've tried feliway before and zyklene and no joy

Fluffycloudland77 · 10/02/2021 21:23

Ear plugs.

QueenPaw · 10/02/2021 21:28

@Fluffycloudland77 Grin I'm actually at the point tonight I've made a telephone vet appointment
I've found some calming stuff but whether he will eat it...

Fluffycloudland77 · 10/02/2021 21:36

I wasn’t joking, I wear them when dh is playing guitar through an amplifier you can use on stage. I own ear defenders too.

QueenPaw · 10/02/2021 21:52

I would try them but I can't really hear customers through them Grin actually...

YesItsMeIDontCare · 10/02/2021 22:11

Handsome Nature on YouTube? Squirrels, chipmunks, birds... keeps Leroy happy for ages.

Having said that, DH gave him a pinch of dried catnip out of the bag about an hour and a half ago and he's still asleep. Is that an option?

QueenPaw · 10/02/2021 22:13

He doesn't react to catnip Confused weirdo cat
Might give youtube a go. He will probably yowl at the birds knowing him Grin

YesItsMeIDontCare · 10/02/2021 22:14

Have you tried Silvervine?

Supersimkin2 · 10/02/2021 22:16

Sympathies, love. He does stop in the end. You must be deaf and knackered.

QueenPaw · 10/02/2021 22:21

Ooh no I'll add them to the list. I've bookmarked a calming supplement too and booked a phone vet appointment

YetAnotherSpartacus · 10/02/2021 22:56

Is Paws presence unsettling him? He might think he’s going to lose Mama to another cat.

Fluffycloudland77 · 10/02/2021 22:57

Cozie would have said to out talk him. Talk his ears off until he’s fed up with talking.

QueenPaw · 10/02/2021 22:59

@YetAnotherSpartacus no, I don't think so. He's always been.. vocal. Think I'm noticing it more as I'm with him 24//7!
I tried the talking and he strops off into another room to yowl in the mirror. Weirdo

YetAnotherSpartacus · 10/02/2021 23:30

Could you wear him in a sling?

QueenPaw · 10/02/2021 23:38

Nope, the little brat won't be picked up. Hates it and panics. He's mute now because I did "end of my tether" voice earlier so he keeps giving me side eye

QueenPaw · 11/02/2021 01:13

He's howling again Sad
I'm thinking if he's really so miserable is it fair to him to carry on?

Fluffycloudland77 · 11/02/2021 07:09

Is he miserable though? Asbo never had an unexpressed thought either.
