Acccompanied by the screamy mew of starvation, even to strangers.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 11/01/2021 14:39

He looks starving, poor baby.

About as starving as Leroy at 8am this morning swearing blind DH hadn't given him his breakfast.

Justonedayatatime11 · 11/01/2021 17:23

Finally got to bring Darcy home today.

That’s a hard thing to do.

Papergirl1968 · 11/01/2021 17:40

swampytiggaa · 11/01/2021 18:53

Flowers @Justonedayatatime11 💕

Defiantly41 · 11/01/2021 19:30

ThanksGin

YesItsMeIDontCare · 11/01/2021 19:40

Sending you love Just. It's both heartbreaking and comforting at the same time. 💐

Justonedayatatime11 · 11/01/2021 19:48

Thanks. I'm relieved she's home, as silly as that sounds. I still feel guilty, despite numerous vets telling me there was nothing more I could have done. I guess it's just a case of time now. I miss her so much

coastergirl · 11/01/2021 19:53

Aww sending love to you just. I wish I could have afforded to do this with mine.

TheLongRider · 11/01/2021 20:19

Flowers I hope time brings you peace.

Supersimkin2 · 11/01/2021 21:04

Love to you @Justonedayatatime11. Mr C's ashes are above my bed and are a comfort, if it helps.

Justonedayatatime11 · 11/01/2021 21:29

@coastergirl . Did your parcel arrive ok?
@Supersimkin2 it is comforting to have her home. Feels right

coastergirl · 11/01/2021 21:32

@Justonedayatatime11 when? I haven't received anything.

Fluffycloudland77 · 11/01/2021 21:34

I buried Bertie too, I couldn’t have handed him over to anyone after the end he had.

If we move I have to exhume him but it is what it is.

coastergirl · 11/01/2021 21:56

I buried my old cat Helix when she was hit by a car. It was a rented house and I didn't realise it actually wasn't allowed! I just couldn't cope with the idea of not seeing her again. She's still there. With my Bertie, I was with him at the end, so for some reason it felt less awful to leave him with the vets. I don't know. It's awful however you do it. I couldn't afford private cremation and it wouldn't bring him back. I'd have done it if money wasn't an issue though. 💔

Toddlerteaplease · 11/01/2021 22:20

I was going to scatter Maia's ashes in my friend's beautiful garden. But he was having it re done at the time, so I didn't do it. She's still in her box in the cupboard. It just feels right to have her there. And my garden isn't pretty enough to sprinkle her in.

Supersimkin2 · 11/01/2021 23:25

Everyone feels guilty after a death @Justonedayatatime11

Everyone. I feel ghastly about getting a mood on with Mr C, every time I did during our life together.

coastergirl · 11/01/2021 23:31

I feel guilty. I do love cat cuddles, but I have kids all over me all day and sometimes I just want space. I've given in though.
