Oh Just. So many ups and downs you’re having with her.
Keep her warm and try to get her eating and drinking even if it’s only a a little is all I can say.
I can’t imagine how hard a decision it must be.

TheSilveryPussycat · 10/12/2020 14:38

Just I'm still reading this thread, and thinking of Darcy and you.

coastergirl · 10/12/2020 20:11

Thinking of you just and Darcy.

Yes Walter's tummy really is strokable. He loves it. He's incredibly docile really.

coastergirl · 10/12/2020 20:34

Don't laugh at me...have you thought of the supervet? I'm a bit in love with him Blush

Fluffycloudland77 · 10/12/2020 20:52

Me too. He has that diagnosis centre for cancer too.

coastergirl · 10/12/2020 21:07

Yeah, he does the orthopaedic stuff himself but they seem to do incredible diagnostics too. I'm glad it's not just me.

Justonedayatatime11 · 10/12/2020 21:15

I have thought of it but I'm not sure she could cope with the journey and the added stress. In my frantic googling tonight I stumbled across Cushings disease in cats. She literally ticks every box. Prognosis isn't good even if it is that though. I think if she's no better tomorrow then I know what I have to do Sad

coastergirl · 10/12/2020 21:19

Oh just I'm so sorry. I know what you mean about the journey. When they offered me the option for Bertie to go to London to go on dialysis I didn't even consider it. It was way too much. We're a long way from London. Is her breathing bad again? Was the potassium just a short term fix?

Papergirl1968 · 10/12/2020 23:52

I’m sorry, Just. That’s a horrible decision to have to make.

coastergirl · 11/12/2020 00:13

Toe beans for anybody who needs them ❤️

QueenPaws · 11/12/2020 00:21

Justonedayatatime11 · 11/12/2020 09:19

She's going to be the absolute death of me. Perky this morning and eaten a whole plate of food overnight plus biscuits

Papergirl1968 · 11/12/2020 10:21

I’m so glad, Just
What an emotional rollercoaster you’re on.

Papergirl1968 · 11/12/2020 10:27

Lovely beans Coaster. I do think black beans on a white paw make a lovely contrast!
Did Paws stay, Queen?
Socks found one of her Christmas presents - a catnip banana - opened the wrapping paper and took it out of the packaging. She’s played with it half the night. Matt didn’t play but did stay in my bedroom rather than retreating to dd’s room - maybe he liked being near the catnip.

coastergirl · 11/12/2020 17:34

Naughty Socks. And as for Darcy! What on earth is she up to? You must have no idea what to think.

QueenPaws · 11/12/2020 18:00

Darcy has been reading the Ollie rule book of being unwell I think Smile

Fluffycloudland77 · 11/12/2020 18:09

Or Snorgmaidens 😹

Asbo used to be randomly unwell then bounce back once I’d had him on the bed overnight and fallen out with dh over it. But Darcy does seem to have an underlying problem they aren’t diagnosing. Do you know who owns her other siblings? If it’s congenital and it’s in a small breeds gene pool it’s a bigger problem isn’t it if their breeding off them.

coastergirl · 11/12/2020 20:43

@QueenPaws

Darcy has been reading the Ollie rule book of being unwell I think Smile

This really tickled me.

Justonedayatatime11 · 11/12/2020 23:17

We went out this evening for a few hours and I spent the whole time worrying about her and feeling bad for leaving her. Came back to discover she'd eaten ALL her food, was up and wandering around and quite happy!
Relief but it's very cautious because we've been here before and then she's gone downhill again.
There is definitely something wrong with her mouth/teeth. If I could upload video you'd see, the noise when she tries to eat is like fingernails down a blackboard. Poor baby. So on Monday I'm going to make a right twit of myself and refuse to leave the vets until someone listens to me properly!

Justonedayatatime11 · 11/12/2020 23:19

Fluffycloudland77 I do. It's difficult to say too much as there's the potential to get into trouble... but she's a fairly new breed and it's come to light that Darcys particular line of breeding history shows far far too much inbreeding Angry. The horrible person responsible seems to be getting away with it. Unfortunately for her she lives 20 minutes away from me and if I do lose Darcy, I will be making my feelings known

coastergirl · 11/12/2020 23:47

Again, I'm completely ignorant really, but I immediately wondered about her teeth. I mean, Ollie has one tooth...how much do they really need them? That sounds so ridiculous, even to me. I do apologise.
