How did it go, Just? How is Darcy now?

She's home, for now at least. Her temp is up at 40.5 and that's after 5 days of antibiotics. Her back legs are wobbly, and her gum condition has deteriorated from 'mild' on Monday to 'moderate' today. She's back in on Monday for oral swabs and an abdomen ultrasound. She's noticeably skinnier around the face, and along her back, but she has a massive 'doughy' belly.
I hate this.
The poor girl has already been through so much in Feb this year when they diagnosed her as asthmatic, diabetic and suffering from hypokalemia. One of her litter mates died recently, no sign of illness, his owner came down and found him dead.
She still wants to eat (although only dry), drink, have a fuss. She's still using her litter tray and went into the garden this morning. I just don't know what to do for the best for her.

Bless her, it must be so hard.
See how the weekend goes and hopefully on Monday she might be a bit better.
Can you tempt her with something nice, like chicken? At least she’s eating something though, and drinking, using the litter tray and going into the garden all sounds positive.

I can understand about FB - I think I actually post about once a year to say I'm still alive, and have very limited friends (and no idiot friends thank goodness!)

Yep, it’s been a shit year all around. Not really because of lockdown for me personally but in terms of family problems and being absolutely broke. I won’t be sorry to see the back of 2020.

It's been such a difficult year - hope you feel a bit stronger soon QueenPaws. That combination of family and money is really hard papergirl1968 - hope they improve. In the meantime, thanks to the posters and cats on this board - it's my best discovery this past year.

Darling @QueenPaws you are in our hearts always regardless of when on our screens that's all I can say.

FB Is world's worst wind-up merchant. Especially when the charm-challenged are jealous of a beautiful, clever lady.

2020 comes a pretty close second, only a month to Christmas and then the lovely vaccine.

@QueenPaws I don't know how you've managed to shield for that long. I take my hat off to you. I decided shielding would be worse than getting Covid so didn't bother.

This boy has helped a lot. He asks if you can see his ribs as he didn't get breakfast (he had a full bowl of dry food but that's for peasant cats like paws apparently)
