First time kitten owner & I am shocked!

At how easy her transition has been! We have had her 3 days now, she hasn't had one single accident - as a dog owner this really shocked me, she just goes in her litter tray and that's it, no training, no puppy pads, no standing in the yard coaching it to go and then cheering when it does lol. She just knows where she goes and that's it!

She is eating great, loves cuddles, loves our dog and is just such a playful little ball of fur. She is so calm and docile (I was expecting her to be hissing at us and climbing up curtains - although it's still early days) ahhh I just love her

I've always been a dog person but this little kitten has just brought me so much joy and I just cant believe how easy she has been so far! I woke up today and was instantly in a good mood just knowing I get to snuggle the little cutesy all day Grin I think I've been converted to a complete cat lover!

Ahem...photo please. Them's the rules.

OnceUponACat · 11/06/2020 09:24

Oh yes! I once had 10 kittens under my roof and it was far easier than one puppy. Think i had to clean up a wee once.

Cats rock. They are the ultimate for someone without much caring skills, like me. Wink

Cats are easy, but it is all on their terms.
Dogs are more needy but give more back.
We have both. I can't say that we will always have a dog, but we will always have a cat. A snoozy cat on a bed is a wonderful thing.

Look at that little paw! 😍😍😍

Imcrapwithusernames · 11/06/2020 09:30

@WinWinnieTheWay agreed! Our dog is 14 and I love her like my own child! But she is definitely more high maintenance but so lovable and loyal.

Soooo cute. We have always had cats rather than kittens but have a kitten arriving next weekend (hoping our cat doesn't hate him) hope it's this easy for us too!

YinuCeatleAyru · 11/06/2020 09:32

kitten!!!

Iwantacookie · 11/06/2020 09:33

Omg she is adorable that's the best thing about cats no accidents (unless you have one like mine who likes to stand in the litter tray and put her bum over the side to pooh there)

carexfairex · 11/06/2020 09:37

Aww she is adorable 😍

Sally99 · 11/06/2020 09:39

She's adorable! I like dogs but could never live without a cat. I find their softness and purring so calming.

Dogs have to be fenced in whereas cats choose to live with you.

Imcrapwithusernames · 11/06/2020 09:39

@delilabell ah how exciting! I'm sure you cant wait!

She still hasn't purred yet so I'm very much looking forward to that! Our dog isn't interested in her but she is very much interested in the dog, she keeps doing the sneaking/pouncing thing on the dogs tail! Dog isnt impressed lol

Ooooh, she’s gorgeous 😻😻😻.

Fluffycloudland77 · 11/06/2020 10:00

Cats are the best! Dh converted a dog person. She still loves her dog but she’s like “omg I love the cat so much”.

If you gently put your finger on her throat you might feel her purring. It’s not always audible.

Toddlerteaplease · 11/06/2020 10:06

Omg that picture with the toe brand just broke my cute -o-meter! Cats are the best thing in the world!

YesItsMeIDontCare · 11/06/2020 10:11

She still hasn't purred yet

This is worrying - you are clearly a terrible cat owner and must send he to me immediately. Please. 😁

YesItsMeIDontCare · 11/06/2020 10:17

Seriously though, with my years of experience with cats I think the purr volume is related to the size of the boom box.

Leroy, 6.3kg, purr can be heard in another room.
Previous cat Harley, teeny-tiny 3kg max, purr only heard if you put your ear on him!

Belle has a teeny-weeny-tiny boom box at the moment so that may be why.

I may be talking utter bollocks

LudaMusser · 11/06/2020 10:24

There's nothing cuter than a little kitten..

Not so cute when it runs up your leg Angry
