It’s the little toy up against the door that is so heartbreaking. All your cats have lovely tails (and they are a handsome trio all over) swampytigga. Are they siblings?

I’m a worse cat mum. While getting Matt in, Socks has wriggled into a small hole in the decking directly outside our back door (the planks are going rotten).
I’ve tried a treat stick and Dreamies with no luck. I’ve just come in for a bit in case she just gets bored and comes out.
Cross with dd too because I called her to come and help and she came slowly, and faffed about looking for shoes etc. If she’d have been ten seconds quicker she could have stopped her.

She’s out and back in the house, tucking into her third treat stick of the day.
I think these cats just want to give us grey hairs!

Ollie has a bad new habit. Starts about 11.30 at night, yowls constantly while looking at me, then the door (no, you're not going out) and has taken to being obsessed with the mirror in the living room
I've told him it will fall on his head if he keeps clambering up to it. But yeah he's yowling so much, wondering if it's spring fever

Two-month anniversary of me and Capn being Official. He slept in my arms, rumbly purring, loved it. Currently kneading with fat paws, purring hopefully for snack no 786. Licked my hand.

Clearly a case of love at first sight - even if there was an element of cupboard love in his case!

So pleased you have both found your soul mate, there's nothing better than a cuddle with a contented cat. So calming and soothing, makes all the ills of the world float away for a while.

Little soft lad he is - terrible fat now but seems happy.

London dramas here - having terrified the public witless, the govt has had to admit all all the capital's new hospitals are empty. Stats are, as academics timidly pointed out at the start of the pandemic, the same as seasonal flu.

The papers are desperate too - banks of journos ringing round half-full wards of recovering patients, frenziedly struggling to find scare stories, even though they just make them up.

The problem here now is that the capital's councils etc have panicked the public so thoroughly that no one will go out, let alone go back to work.

Councillors etc are having to backtrack wildly and start letting slip The Inconvenient Truth.

I just got back from M&S, because I’m broke and I had a gift card I thought I might as well use. Not many yellow stickers except on fish and chips ready meals so I bought three of those and some bits and pieces (not like Easter chocs that were half price, oh no, not I )
It was spookily quiet up there in the mall, with only the food section of M&S and Asda open.
