Adopting a retired Bengal stud??

So tomorrow I’m off to see a retired Bengal stud who’s looking for his forever home?

I’m already in love with him, what questions do I need to ask??

Any help would be much appreciated I’ve always had cats from tiny kitten ages!

Many thanks

He’s an absolute sweetheart 😻 a couple of wobbles this week, but he’s now actively seeking us out for affection.

I’ve still not got the mattress cleaned but he’s not had a wee on the one on top of it. So all good. Cystease tablets have arrived and he’s been having them.

I’ve ordered him a bigger play tunnel as he loves it - so got a big one and we are now looking at wheels. Will attempt a walk in the garden some point next week.

oh good, i bet living in a house is a bit alien to him,

Supersimpkin · 21/08/2019 17:46

oh look at that adorable tentative-yet-tough face. All he needs is 24/7 attention, love and stroking.

he is so brave and noble. yet cuddly

How is he, OP? I can't read the expression in that final photo. It is somewhere between 'I'm such an innocent scared boy - give me luurve' and 'OOOOOOKKKKK... how best to make mischief...????'

LittleGinBigGin · 23/08/2019 13:09

@YetAnotherSpartacus

He’s absolutely adorable 😻 yet very mischievous!! Now he’s trusting us more more of his personality is showing.

He did try and wee on the bed again, I’m pretty certain it’s just him marking his territory, I’m out of ideas with it now and have made a vet appointment just in case.

Plastic cover for the bed? Naughty boy! but you are obviously in love.... :)

LittleGinBigGin · 23/08/2019 13:18

That’s what dh suggested Grin

I have ordered another new duvet and new covers and pillows! And another mattress protector I’m thinking of buying a new mattress as well.

He’s costing me a fortune Grin

I'd try turning the mattress over, replacing the covers as you say and then putting a plastic cover over that (a picnic tablecloth or similar) unless poor Asbo II is the excuse for the new bedding you have always wanted.

my bengal just can't be trusted not to wee on beds. We have to either shut him out of bedrooms or put a waterproof sheet over the top. By a fitted one one size up and it should cover the bedding

He is incredible 😻😻 our Bengal boy went through a phase of peeing on my mums bed when we first bought him home. In the end we started to shut him out of that room. After a few weeks we let him back in and he's never done it since.
