Mr C in intensive care. I have cried on the phone to the vet.

He still woke me up at 530 am screaming for food. But he can't eat any more.

Guilty that is bloody brill re Betboo. Smart kitty.

Supersimkin · 29/08/2019 10:35

He will be in hospital for the foreseeable. I will ask that if he is going to snuff it, Nurse Lee brings him home.

Weezol · 29/08/2019 10:38

Oh Super. I'm sending lots of love to you all.

Oh Lana, big hugs to you Sad FlowersGin

Supersimkin · 29/08/2019 18:18

Well, the hosp hasn't rung so he's clearly ok :)

I have just done a massive charity shift to take my mind off it. I am shamelessly looking forward to going to the loo without being interrupted by someone sitting on my pants.

Mr C is doubtless shamelessly enjoying the attention from his team of adoring nurses. He's on a drip so hopefully he'll feel better pretty quickly, whatever the prognosis.

Papergirl1968 · 29/08/2019 18:50

No news is good news, I hope.
Fingers and paws all crossed for him x

Supersimkin · 29/08/2019 19:51

Hosp phoned! Just been told 'not to worry'!!!

He has come round, had a nose massage and is now refusing pill. Nurse described him as 'very wiggly'.

They will call again tomorrow. I asked them to give him a kiss.

When I said 'I do love him' the nurse sounded a bit grim. I think they reckon he's on his last legs but he's fine for now. To be quite honest, given the vet reckons he's even older than the previous best guess, every day is a bonus, and has been for some time.

'Age cannot wither him, nor custom stale his infinite furry variety'. Splendiferous kitten, apparently he wants to eat now. Phew.

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/08/2019 20:05

Oh that’s such a relief!. Can you visit?.

TheLongRider · 29/08/2019 20:05

Tell Mr C. he can't use up his nine lives like this. Although he may have used them up in the manner of a Hogarthian rake, in which case I admire his swagger.

Supersimkin · 29/08/2019 20:15

They won't let you in but you can ring from 11am.

Long There's def something v 18th-cent gent about Mr C. He is beautifully groomed, laid back and entirely charming drawing-room company but v insistent re his own needs.

I can't be bothered to have supper - no good cooking for one, is it. Grin

Papergirl1968 · 29/08/2019 20:39

Oh good news, Lana.
Mr C lives to fight another day.
Look after yourself. Have a 🍷 and a 🍫 and an early night.

Guiltypleasures001 · 29/08/2019 20:51

Oh Lana he's so loved,

This part of Mumsnet, always feels special to me, so much support for our fur babies
Thoughts and prayers x

Vet says that the cat's wounds (multiple, one we weren't sure about and two we hadn't even spotted) are healing nicely, if it had just been her ear she'd have wondered if it was some wire but the several around her body means it was definitely a fight. Poor sausage!
