Thanks so much.

Even in my most neurotic moments I do not doubt Mr C knows he is loved. Grin It accounts for some of his most 'expressive' behaviour.

Thanks so much, you all made a tough day totally bearable.I mean, I haven't even had 3lbs of chocolate and I feel fine thanks to you. Grin Grin

Supersimkin · 29/08/2019 21:53

Well done dr that is fine news. Poor little cuddler though, being mugged like that. Needs a few days on the sofa and she'll be back and better than before, eh.

Papergirl1968 · 29/08/2019 22:37

Can I ask advice from those who have introduced a new kitten to a home where there is already an adult cat?
It’s going pretty well with Matt and Socks. Matt seems to tolerate her most of the time and they’re starting to play a bit - stalking each other etc. They even touched noses a couple of times.
But we do have an occasional hiss from one of them, and Matt will occasionally corner her and swipe at her. It’s hard to know if this is playing or bullying.
Do you think it sounds normal for a cat and a kitten who have only really known each other for a few days?

Thanks, Ronnie.
Matt is so good natured but after five years of being spoilt rotten he is having to share his food, toys, and family with an interloper so I guess it’s not surprising that he gets a bit fed up!
As Socks is like a streak of lightning, I’m hoping Matt might lose a bit of weight chasing her around Wink

YesQueen · 29/08/2019 23:20

Ollie and paws kisses again. It was all going so well until Paws tried to jump onto the windowsill where Ollie was sat. Apparently human, food, sofa all fair game but nobody touches HIS windowsill. He smacked Paws out the window. Again Blush

Supersimkin · 30/08/2019 09:16

Well that's fair enough. It's Olli's personal space. And Matt's.

Mr C has eaten!! Is no longer critical!!!

I have had The Conversation with the vet and we both agree he is too cheerful to be you-know-what-ed.

He does take a hell of a lot of looking after but that's fine.

He has NOT attacked the vet or any nurses Grin

Weezol · 30/08/2019 09:29

He has NOT attacked the vet or any nurses yet.

Such good news from all sides Guilty and Drs.

This issue with personal space - Weezolcat's varies from zero to 20ft at random and can vary on a second by second basis. My own is considered irrelevant by aforementioned Weezolcat.
As she is PFC I have been assuming it's normal.

Supersimkin · 30/08/2019 10:14

Weezolcat is a Strong Woman.

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/08/2019 10:30

Oh that’s such a relief, when can he come home?.

Papergirl1968 · 30/08/2019 10:34

So pleased, Lana.
When will he be home?
I had kitten cuddles this morning - so cute and it’s lovely to see her getting more confident each day.

Papergirl1968 · 30/08/2019 10:39

Pleased for you both too, Guilty and Drs.
It’s such a worry when our kitties are poorly.
And naughty Ollie for knocking Paws out of the window again. Matt says he knows new siblings can be annoying, but he is a good big brother to Socks Halo

YetAnotherSpartacus · 30/08/2019 11:14

Good news all 'round! Hurrah! (except for poor Paws - shame on you Ollie!).

YesQueen · 30/08/2019 12:34

@YetAnotherSpartacus Grin it was the same sort of whack again Blush

Supersimkin · 30/08/2019 13:14

They're going to tell me today.

I have already laid in the expensive little tins.

Supersimkin · 30/08/2019 13:24

Well, I think Olli deserves his own sacred spot of personal space. Mr C has his under the chaise longue. I am not allowed, fair enough. In return, I am occasionally allowed to use the loo unattended.

Supersimkin · 30/08/2019 14:03

Mr C coming home tomorrow! Is eating 'really well'!!!!

Papergirl1968 · 30/08/2019 14:10

Brilliant, Lana!

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/08/2019 14:22

Is he eating cat food?. 🙀

Supersimkin · 30/08/2019 15:23

There's a first time for everything, evidently.

Fiasco here - it's annual hols for the pet transport team round these parts.I have 0 car and the poor little lad really is too ill to go on the tube.

I've rung every single pet ambulance/taxi in South England and no one, but no one, can get my cat home.

Even resorted to a pet manicurist in Chelsea. 'Pet friendly' my arse.

Then...

In desperation I rang Nurse Lee to see if he knew anyone. He tried loads of places he knows as well. No joy. He lives miles away from hosp. I said Don't do it Lee, it's your weekend. Kept hammering phones.

Nurse Lee rang back. He is borrowing an ambulance from his boss's friend Grin. What a total hero.

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/08/2019 15:38

Hero indeed

Papergirl1968 · 30/08/2019 15:51

Aww, Nurse Lee is a total star!

Allergictoironing · 30/08/2019 17:16

I came home from work absolutely dreading opening this thread in case Mr C had got worse, but all looks so much happier all round.

Looks like double helpings of yellow sticker food, as not only will you have a poor suffering invalid to feed you should really offer Nurse Lee something to eat and drink Wink

Supersimkin · 30/08/2019 19:25

Yes, shame it's at 830 am and he'll be driving or it would be the full English with a pint.

Maybe a nice sizzling bacon sandwich? And a latte, extra hot so it takes ages to drink?

I thought of insisting he takes a fistful of dollars as well though - Mr C would demand it.
