What are you getting done?

Weezolcat has standards. Hooray for that.

Mr C's been sick so loudly on the balcony he must have woken all 300 residents. It echoed.

Already been out to get some Gourmet in case he likes that rather than the 2 theatrically rejected breakfasts. No hand-carved ham at this time of the morning, really London is a backwater.

Was she your first horse Queen? How old was she and how long had you had her?

YesQueen · 14/08/2019 11:22

Not my first no. I had her ten years and she was 24

YesItsMeIDontCare · 14/08/2019 11:22

Sending you love and hugs Queen, hope you're doing OK.

24 is an incredible age. Hope you're feeling slightly better today.

This is Matt’s new sister, Socks. Matt has sniffed her this morning before reverting to hissing and growling at her. She hisses back. Hoping they’ll become friends soon.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 14/08/2019 12:48

24 is still too young :(. It must have been an awful, awful shock.

Papergirl - do you really have another kitty?

Papergirl1968 · 14/08/2019 13:06

Socks is Dd1’s. She’s been made homeless so is moving back in for a while. We are on holiday so she and Socks joined us by train on Monday.
Socks is about 12 weeks old. Dd’s boyfriend’s father apparently got her off some Romanians when she was about six weeks old and sold her to dd. As dd has no money for neutering or inoculations, you can guess who will be paying for that.
As dd’s baby is in foster care, I think she sees the kitten as a substitute as she’s very possessive with her. I’m trying to persuade her to leave the kitten here and to go home for contact with the baby but she won’t. I just hope her missing contact doesn’t reflect badly on her when she’s next in court fighting to get the baby back.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 14/08/2019 13:13

Oh Lordy Papergirl. You have the patience of a Saint. Socks is gorgeous ... but ...

Fluffycloudland77 · 14/08/2019 16:21

Are you sure socks is a girl?.

YesQueen · 14/08/2019 16:27

Ollie was asleep on the footstool. Paws jumped in, ate all his food and Ollie studiously ignored him
Paws crept up behind him, put his giant paws on the footstool and patted Ollie on the back. He was FUMING Grin
Poor Paws

drspouse · 14/08/2019 16:31

Oh paper that makes me sad to hear - my DCs are adopted - there are similar stories in their birth family - I'm pretty sure that won't go well for her, if she doesn't make it to contact.

Papergirl1968 · 14/08/2019 16:58

I’m told by dd that Socks is a girl, Fluffy but I think a trip to the vet is in order when we get home.
My two are adopted too, Drspouse, and god knows how we’re all still here. DD just won’t take any advice. I said all the way through her pregnancy that she needed to change her behaviour or risk losing her baby and she wouldn’t listen. Then we’ve had a few incidents of getting drunk and not turning up for contact since. She cannot see she has to do everything right if she wants any chance of getting her baby back.

Weezol · 14/08/2019 17:02

Yes I would have paid good money to see that interaction!

YesQueen · 14/08/2019 17:04

@Weezol he's just come back in. Tried to jump in the window, missed, and slid down the wall HmmGrin

Supersimpkin · 14/08/2019 17:21

Socks has landed on his tiny paws, eh. Adorable. I think he might be a little lad rather than a lovely lady.

Paws has landed on his massive paws. Don't make any decisions yet about the future, they might still be soulmates.

Paper I know three people who had their first child adopted, all of whom are married with kids and jobs now. It must be bloody worrying if you are in your position, but at some point people have to make their own decisions and you get to wait till it all comes out in the wash.

Yes lovely tattoo. Great font.

Ooh paws has been in again
Ollie in his igloo and they sniffed noses very gently. No noise/slapping each other
Had to wrestle Paws away from my cup of tea which he was very interested in dipping his elephant paws in

Supersimpkin · 14/08/2019 20:03

does he want a bowl of water

OP posts:
YesQueen · 14/08/2019 20:04

No, I offered. He seems to like investigating stuff. Ollie was curled up in his igloo and stretched out to bump noses

Supersimpkin · 15/08/2019 09:01

That is really sweet. How are you today? Be nice to yourself. Don't worry about dieting when you've had a shock, keep up the fluids and try and go for a walk. Olli would do the same.

Vet day today. Am staggering into best dress in the event Nurse Lee is on shift.

Back to work today. I'm ok providing nobody speaks to me so my manager is avoiding me apart from placing cups of tea on my desk

Supersimpkin · 15/08/2019 10:26

Good manager.

Tea Break Time
