Please name my kittens!

We have literally been through hundreds of names and we just can't agree. Any name suggested either 2 or 3 people veto (and there are only 4 of us in the family). I like old fashioned names, and those ending in y / ie, or a. We all like books & movies, but have very different tastes. They are 1 boy (grey and white), and 1 girl (black and white). Also, nothing too matchy matchy, needs to work as a stand alone name. Help, because at this rate it will be boy cat-y and girl cat-y.

bumping, as we are on day 3 and still no names! Of the above I like Mabel, Percy, Pepper and Cookie, but no one else does.

I like Peggy, but I don't think anyone else will.

The youngest boy likes candy and honey.
The eldest boy likes Lyra (from his dark materials).
Husband likes names from Star Wars / lord of the rings etc, but I don't.
We all like Harry Potter books, but none of the character names.
I like chick lit, Jane Austen, and 1920's style, but no one else does.

Completely disregarding your preferences; 'Sausage' and 'Chips' or 'Pudding' and 'Custard'. I must be hungry because normally advise name like 'Steve': whatever sex of cat.

Love Maggie and Lola. I think they were also vetoed.

I tried listing all our favourite names, I think I had about 40 names on there, with a few suggestions from everyone else, then vetoing names until we had a shortlist of what was left. The result was names that nobody hated, but nobody loved either,

I was going to suggest Candy and Kane to do Star Wars and your youngest but putting Candy Kane into google seems to get some results so might mean something I am not aware of.

Or Lion and Tiger as they look fierce. 😎
