We have literally been through hundreds of names and we just can't agree. Any name suggested either 2 or 3 people veto (and there are only 4 of us in the family). I like old fashioned names, and those ending in y / ie, or a. We all like books & movies, but have very different tastes. They are 1 boy (grey and white), and 1 girl (black and white). Also, nothing too matchy matchy, needs to work as a stand alone name. Help, because at this rate it will be boy cat-y and girl cat-y.

Will post a pic, but it might take me a while!

warn your family that you WILL end up with boy catty & girl catty, if you leave it much longer. I have a 3 year old HUGE male Bengal cross called Kitten (hence MN name Grin) because I just couldn't decide...

Whenever I contact the vet about him I'm mortified.

Your kittens are beautiful, OP Smile

Molly and Max
Molly and Tom

We already have / had Mollie, Sam, and Alfie in the family.
Lucy, Star, Coco, and Duke have all been considered and rejected.
Dotty was one of my favourites.
The rest I know without asking they won't be considered!

(It's not just my suggestions that get rejected, I vetoed Candy and Cutie).

I had siblings - Harlequin & Columbine, known as Harley & Colli.

Do you want a "matching pair"?

strawberrypenguin · 23/09/2018 22:17

Oh they're lovely

Giles and Buffy if you want a 'pair' otherwise

Neville would be fab for boy cat
Lucy for girl cat

chocoholic1234 · 23/09/2018 22:18

Not fussed - a theme is nice, but they also need to work as stand alone names, just in case...

Boy cat has just curled up on my lap. We thought he was going to be an outdoors cat, so this is lovely. He's so small and light!

I think the kittens are going to need to choose their own names at this rate 😉, we did the name our cat answered to. Seemed to like names ending in y or e.

Herbie and Honey

Smoke and buttons x

YesItsMeIDontCare · 23/09/2018 22:24

What sort of theme would suit the whole family? Mythology is often a good one, or Literature. How about names from Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats?

My two had middle names - Harley was Bogwoppit from the children's book I loved (and had Bogwoppit traits to be honest 😁) and Colli was Bumtrinket from My Family & Other Animals.

We've got Max & Minnie :-)
He was the big kitten hence Max, she was the smallest so "mini".
However she's the biggest now as she eats his food too when she can so now I call her Piglet !
