What is everyone's cat up to today?

Today I am 26 weeks pregnant and my cat Freya is communing with the baby. Mainly purring and gentle pawing in response to little kicks. I am hoping they'll be friends! Meanwhile Maisie is looking on disdainfully. She's in the huff because I tipped her out of the pregnancy dungarees, which she had commandeered as her personal nest.

What are your furry overlords all up to?

They are awful. They are a punishment and not a deterrent. :(

Ern isnt even bothered with their garden. One of his favourite spots is sitting under the bush you can just see to the right of the fence, that is all nice, green and overgrown now

We always no where to find him

Basil and Sybil are enjoying a musical interlude. Sybil was doing her best 'kitten on the keys' impression prior to jumping from the keyboard to the top of the piano.

@Grumpyoldpersonwithcats the only way that last photo of Basil would be better, is if you had just heard the sound of expert piano playing before you entered the room

(I wonder if he is rehearsing his pantomime villain "dum de dum" music to accompany any Thug Cat approaches )

I'm imagining Sybil as singing along in a double-act. It was a love song about forbidden lurve and her rebel heart throb TC.

Well looks like Ern may have a new friend. He's being a little antsy with her but not as much as we'd thought

Yes we saw her in the window of her slaves house a sweek or so ago which only next door but 2 across the road.

We'd noticed her (and Ernie) a few weeks ago strutting in the road. She appeared in the garden this week and said hello to OH. Last night was the first time I had seen her managed to get a stroke

We have a Cotswold stone wall that stretches down quite few gardens and it serves as a good byway between them all. Looks like she has taken a liking to Ern's second favourite bush as well

Yep and now neighbour at back has cut his bush down to the ground. Ern was actually perplexed and kept looking at the wall at me with a very confused face. He used to love sleeping under that bush.

It also means otehr neighbour can now see I've nashed his spikes [oops]

Basil and Sybil have lost interest in Rossini's cat duet and are now enjoying a break outside.

Daphne is four today!! 🥳 here is her birthday portrait.

They were a pain in the backside this morning in and out when I was trying to get ready for work I had to leave my door open and my neighbour had to sort it

Ginger has an abscess that is healing. He comes in at 530 when I get up for work has a breakfast and then eats theirs then he appears when I get in at 2030 sometimes he stays the night sometimes he doesn’t. When he does he screams the house down at 430am to be let out. He’s not silly. He weighs a ton now. He must be going elsewhere.

Two years ago Daphne had her leg in plaster we never did find out how she broke her leg. Probably moving from sofa to chair.

This morning I found Ernie in the hedgehog house

It's got 'Reggie' name above the door, might have to change it

It did make me laugh when OH came in and announced "Ernies on my Recarros" .... not "in the car"

It's very windy here today, so he's taking a well earned nap. He swore at me last night when I was ushering him inside for bedtime, at midnight
