Pawsitive thoughts for Fattycat's heart scan tomorrow.

I totally panicked when the vet said the scan wasn’t actually till next week so got her booked to a independent cardiologist tomorrow. (One who doesn’t charge extra just to stay with her!) I may be clutching at straws but I think the fluid in her lungs may be due to fluid overload during her dental. As she’s just Too well and respiratory rate is normal. But please keep all your paws crossed for my darling girl.

It’s too quiet in the house with no cats 🐈 I can’t sleep.

BulletFox · 04/12/2017 06:41

Rurhpott :)

Toddler bless you for taking care of Fattycat so well

Toddlerteaplease · 04/12/2017 10:05

She's got a follow up scan next Monday, so keep your paws crossed, that her heart has improved or stabilised. She's gone bossy again and more dominant so I think she's feeling better!

Ruhr, hope you Cat doesn't sulk too much!

Think they want to go out! They are going a bit nuts running around the house. The cage/area they were in wasn’t very large. They are when they got in and now are running around like mad things and attacking the cat flap

Thought I’d st least keep them in for an hour or so but maybe I should just open the cat flap

Ruhrpott · 04/12/2017 11:47

I gave in and opened the cat flap. Hope they come back Shock

Toddlerteaplease · 11/12/2017 08:37

Fatty is going for another scan at 4pm. I'm hoping she's stable. And an improvement in her heart function will be a bonus.

Keeping everything crossed for her and you Flowers

Toddlerteaplease · 11/12/2017 10:30

She's clearly feeling better as she's hogging all the attention, and being very dominant again. Which is how she used to be. Poor Snorg is t getting a look in as she won't jump on the sofa at the same time as mad is on it. She's also become a total lap cat!

Good luck Fatty (and hold your ground Snorg)!!

cozietoesie · 11/12/2017 12:01

Good luck. Smile

The cardiologist is happy with Fatty. There has been a slight improvement. The patches on her lungs have all gone. The obstruction in her heart has reduced. And her pulse is slower. Her left atrium is still very dilated, but it's early days. If the dilation is as a result of the obstruction it may go down but if it's due to the muscle structure it may not. She's better in herself, so I'm happy.

That sounds encouraging. When does she go back?.

Toddlerteaplease · 11/12/2017 19:00

2 months. Medication staying the same. Both girls happy as they had a new flavour of lik e lix. Turkey and cranberry, that went down well. The nurse holding her for the scan kept burying her face in fatty's floof. I was very Envy

YetAnotherSpartacus · 11/12/2017 19:29

That sounds like pretty good news! As for the nurse, isn't that a perk of the job? Did she tell you how lovely Fatty was?

Toddlerteaplease · 11/12/2017 19:56

Yes. They all seem quite taken with her as she's unbelievably well behaved!

I am thinking that I will get Snorg scanned just for my own peace of mind. It will always niggle at the back of my mind every time I look at her otherwise.

Toddlerteaplease · 14/12/2017 12:52

She's being scanned at 4pm.

OP posts:
YetAnotherSpartacus · 14/12/2017 12:56

That was quick!

Good luck Snorg!

We have had so many darling kitties with heart disease on TLT lately - at least four that I can think of including Fatty. Surely we can't have a fifth!

Toddlerteaplease · 14/12/2017 13:55

Yes. That's one reason it's stressing me out a bit. She doesn't have a murmur but I'm hyper anxious about her because she almost died on me in February

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 14/12/2017 13:57

Good luck to her. Smile

Toddlerteaplease · 14/12/2017 13:58

The other cats all sound worse than fatty as they are symptomatic. The prognosis is better if they aren't.

OP posts:
YetAnotherSpartacus · 14/12/2017 14:02

I don't think that Heidi is ....

Toddlerteaplease · 14/12/2017 14:32

No. I really hope hers is an innocent murmur.
