Pawsitive thoughts for Fattycat's heart scan tomorrow.

I totally panicked when the vet said the scan wasn’t actually till next week so got her booked to a independent cardiologist tomorrow. (One who doesn’t charge extra just to stay with her!) I may be clutching at straws but I think the fluid in her lungs may be due to fluid overload during her dental. As she’s just Too well and respiratory rate is normal. But please keep all your paws crossed for my darling girl.

She’s a female ginger so a bit rare but not that rare I think! My other is a tortoise shell

Good that you went somewhere else and got her treated quickly.

She looks like she's got some BSH in her. I like your rug.

I put them in a special treat but it was too big for her to swallow. No way will she eat it herself! I squish all three tablets into a pill giver and grab her and shove them down. She doesn't like it much but is as good as gold. All the instructions on how to open a cats mouth don't apply to Persians, trying to find behind her jaw is really quite difficult in such a flat face!

Must have been my screen Ruhr I thought she was a mink colour! She’s still absolutely gorgeous, as is your tortie.

Has she cottoned on to the routine Toddler ? I have to try and remove the tablets from the weekly pill box silently or he’s off. Although all is forgiven with a cuddle afterwards!

Toddlerteaplease · 24/11/2017 12:55

Yes I think so. I was worried about it putting her off jumping on the bed/sofa for cuddles. But she seems to have completely forgotten within 2 minutes. I think the beta blockers have relaxed her a bit. She certainly seems much less nervy. And she might have realised that it's making her feel better. But not sure about that as she's a bit thick!

I'm afraid that she looks mightily unimpressed. Grin

Toddlerteaplease · 24/11/2017 18:35

Well I had just pulled her out of her basket and plonked her on a platform.

Your cats have fish? Well mine looks totally deprived now.

cozietoesie · 24/11/2017 19:46

Ah. But ASBO goes outside - he probably has his own pond within his range! Grin

cozietoesie · 24/11/2017 19:49

Any nearby Koi hobbyists? Wink

Toddlerteaplease · 24/11/2017 23:21

Apparently there are no fish in the tank. (I asked) apparently itv any very practical. Apparently they are both in bed and Fatty has taken her medication like a good girl!

Looks much nicer than our cattery which was more garden shed like!

Ruhrpott · 24/11/2017 23:53

And I did pay the pound extra a day for a heat lamp as much car was frozen solid this morning!

crazycatgal · 24/11/2017 23:56

She is so beautiful. I hope that her medication works well for her.

Inarightpickleandchutney · 26/11/2017 12:36

So so fluffy!! Today is the kind of cold day I wish I had a snorg or fatty to sit on me and keep me cosy!

Toddlerteaplease · 26/11/2017 12:44

I wish I had a Snorg or fatty to sit on me too! They don't do it often and Snorg never does! (And they are in a cattery this weekend) However I had an enormous ragdoll called Eric sat on me at breakfast in a B&B

OMG that face!!!!!! So cute even while pissed off!!! Just adorable

Fluffycloudland77 · 26/11/2017 19:57

Their going to have serious words with you on your return Grin

Toddlerteaplease · 26/11/2017 21:10

Just got home. The house is so empty and quiet without them. Role on tomorrow when I pick them up!

OP posts:
PinkSparklyPussyCat · 26/11/2017 22:12

What a look. Harry has a similar one for anyone waking past the house (and the idiot letting off fireworks)! He obviously doesn’t do it quite as well as your lovely girls though.

Ruhrpott · 03/12/2017 18:00

I‘m just flying back home. Not heard anything from the cattery so presume that’s a good sign and they haven’t frozen to death. Not allowed to pick them up tonight do will be emtpy at home with no cats. Will get them tomorrow morning when they open at 9:30. If I’m later than 10 i have to pay for another day. Do you all think i should keep the cats in for a day or two or let them out? They have been in the cattery for 10 days. I’ve never had any cats go in a cattery before so I’m unsure what to do.

Fluffycloudland77 · 03/12/2017 18:07

Just let them out. They need to check everythings in order on their patch Wink

Toddlerteaplease · 03/12/2017 19:49

Let them out. They'll be fine. My two were super affectionate when they came back.
