Newboy is feeling guilty about something and I can’t find out what he’s done. So he’s either sprayed - and I can’t see it - or he’s misinterpreted some action as a SIN.

Yes the Xmas funtimez tin has been brought into action but this was the overflow, neatly sealed and hidden. He waited till I went out as he is so well mannered.

I don’t know whether it’s pee yet. I’m just treating him as normal right now.

Good news from vet - they're going to try Mr C on alternative arthritis meds. Nurse agrees he 'smells funny'. Off to buy ham, full price, as a reward.

Reward for cat, nurse deserves crate of vodka.

Bad news from vet - they want to try the old pain meds again. Apart from that...

Mr C's weight is stable!!!!!

We both tried not to look too surprised and maintained a certain elegant dignity too when the 'fur odour' was discussed and dismissed, phew.

Afraid not. He’s being very douce though.

I suspect his recent pattern of bingeing then taking a day off might be it.

He does go beserk for say, Shebas, then meh, mad for Gourmet, meh, frenzied re expensive foods from Amazon, meh, etc.

He's doing the 5:2, basikerly.

At the moment he is bravely monitoring the 7-story high tower crane at the end of the garden. In case it steals his Exigence biscuits.

Maybe so. I was just concerned about the combination of ‘smelling’ and not gaining weight at all. (Which latter is without precedent, I think?)

Once he lost.......50 grammes!!! Obviously I panicked and it was shredded poached organic chicken from then on. He is still pretty hefty.

I've booked him in for Feb but I will keep a good eye on him. He's in a really good mood today, the supplements are working and living in a demolition zone evidently suits.
